Bitcoin is back close to its previous ATHs and my gut feeling tells me that it will score new ones in a couple of days. I'm not that excited about its move tbh because it somehow stole the show from alts, but it is what it is... alts will get their chance once again when Bitcoin will stop for a breather.

Lately though we could read in the news that India is planning on banning privacy coins this year and Nigeria is also giving hard times to crypto people forcing banks to close the accounts of crypto fellows trading cryptos for their Nairas. Bad move India, bad move Nigeria...

Bitcoin and crypto in general seems to somehow be created for people like these over there, for the unbanked, for the ones being able to make ends meet with projects such as Hive and other similar ones where content creation can add up to the personal finances and especially those countries should encourage the development of such tech and adoption by their citizens.

My country is so far kind of neutral towards cryptocurrencies. We have a few Romanian crypto exchanges that work as gates towards entering and exiting the crypto space, there are several crypto ATMs spread all over the country where you can buy and sell for cash and I am not aware yet if there's any sort of taxation on crypto profits, assuming the regulatory framework is not yet well nailed. For the moment we don't have any merchants allowing payments in crypto, but I know a friend had the bitcoin accepted here sign on his business a few years ago.

There are however more crypto friendly countries than mine, such as Malta, Switzerland and Portugal, where such assets and currencies are seen way better than in many countries all over the world. I haven't visited any of them yet, but if I'll have to leave the country due to severe crypto regulations I'd definitely move to Portugal.

I am curious though how crypto friendly is your country? How easy can you gain access to such assets through your national banking system, what sort of regulatory framework you have there and how's the general vibe that the people of your country has towards cryptocurrencies.

By the way, I appreciate a lot the engagement I get from you guys through my #askleo initiative posts and hope to keep it alive for as long as possible. Have great weekend and see you to the next one.

Thanks for attention, Adrian
