Microblogging is finally "available" for Hive. I know that there have been quite a few users who have been doing it for a while and that there's dbuzz that somehow aims at fulfilling that task, but the way I see it, threads is a whole different thing and its use case is superior to dbuzz.

I have for a long time encouraged microblogging for Hive and at some point, I have even created a community called hive on the go, but I only used it for a bunch of posts and it didn't grow much.

Threads is the preamble for project blank. An app that I'm highly excited about. It is in the works and till it comes to fruition we're gonna have to warm up for it by using threads.

I have been throwing a few such microblogging posts in the Hive ecosystem for the past couple of days and kind of constantly kept my eyes on what's happening over there. It's a pity that I can't use it on my Brave browser mobile version.

I would love to, and I hope the team will make that happen soon. Meanwhile, let's talk about how has #threads influenced my hiving... and yours.

The first thing that I noticed since I started using it is that I managed to get myself a few new followers quite fast and I believe these are due to threads because I was almost always getting the notification of a new follower soon after posting anything in that section.

I'm currently using more voting power over there than I am spreading on whole blog posts that I get on my feed from the ones that I'm following. That's neither a good thing nor a bad one. I guess it's just part of the evolution of Hive and my experience with it.

I have also noticed that I read fewer blog posts than I was usually reading since the #threads are out and rolling, which is also neither a good nor a bad thing. It is what it is.

I have the feeling though that some posts over there are really shitty and somehow we should have expected that. But, on the other hand, we can say that we now have our own web3 Twitter, and Instagram which is awesome.

@onealfa has some really nice shots from his vacation shared over there. I will try to post more photos from my daily life on #threads as well. But what about you, how has #threads influenced your hiving so far?

Thanks for your attention, Adrian
