Easy Money. That's how a good friend of mine was calling crypto back in 2017 when he introduced me to this world/type of assets. We were in a full-blown bull market back then and everyone could have made tons of money with it.

You just had to buy in spring and sell at the end of the winter of 2017, it was that easy. Both of us made shit that year, though, that's for sure, and that's when I realized that crypto is not actually easy money.

Although some are saying that the crypto market is not respecting the halving cycles anymore, myself being such a person who for a while has been inclined towards such a narrative, it seems that so far we're kind of swimming the same waters.

Whether Bitcoin is still respecting these cycles remains to be seen, but what's highly lucrative in order to make the most out of your crypto investments is "the patience to hold". I know it sounds easy, but how many of us do have the patience to hold onto some crypto portfolio for years?

I was reading a tweet today of watcherguru about some wallet that purchased 150,000 ETH 5.5 years ago for $1.5 million which are now worth $290 million and it left me mouth open. That's 193x... so far. It didn't happen overnight and the man is still holding on to that ETH purchased 2116 days ago.

I know, you can score 100x to 200x in probably a few months, or around a year with some shitcoins, if lucky enough but these are rare cases. In the case of this wallet, all the owner had to do is actually not do anything. It's that simple.

I sound like I know that from my experience when I'm actually not. Believe it or not, but my longest crypto holding so far has been XRP. I married it back in 2018 and divorced in 2019... I was a sucker, I know that.

Although I did have some good holdings over the years, I never actually held enough on them to really make a difference. I guess that's why I'm not a millionaire yet ;). My current largest holding is some three months old and planning on holding at least till the next bull market. What about you, how old is your oldest crypto holding?

Thanks for your attention, Adrian
