The best way to commence this post would be with the question: do you upvote comments? How often?

To give you my own answers I will say that I do upvote comments and I do that almost all the time. I am upvoting mostly the comments I get on my posts and when I do that I try and upvote all of them.

I only have 2500 LP... Actually it's 2499, but that's a cent or two of appreciation whenever I put those to work and I somehow feel that I have to upvote comments. Someone's bothered to read my nonsense and has probably curated as well, got to sharing his view on the topic also, and what do I offer for that in exchange...

I don't know if you remember, and in the case of new ones if you have heard about it, but we used to have an engagement initiative going on around here, a few months ago. The initiative was called INITIATIVE 10, it was launched by @taskmaster4450 and supported heavily by @onealfa.

The idea behind this thing was to somehow motivate users around here to engage more and make the community feel more alive. It was called initiative 10 because the goal of everyone doing it was to post at least 10 comments a day. Many comments were upvoted by the above two mentioned and others as well.

From what I remember, back in those days I managed to score two personal records on Leofinance: having put out 600 comments in one week and getting two of them upvoted by @onealfa with 100% VP and that was indeed something. I've realized lately that I don't engage too much, way less as I did before.

I also noticed that my posts lack engagement quite a lot as well and there are a few reasons for that. One would be the fact that I am consuming more short form content on noise.cash lately than I am with Leofinance, the second is that once I started stumbling with my engagement towards others, they've done pretty much the same with me and the third...

Well the third might be the fact that the topics I write about are probably not that interesting as they used to. I'll jump right back on track if we get the initiative 10 reloaded and would also put my small VP to work in rewarding engagers. Back then my only contribution was related to content, in the form of comments. Now I'm willing to do the curation job as well.

What about you though, how often do you curate comments, how's your personal engagement and would you like to have the initiative 10 back on Leofinance? Do you feel like 10 comments a day is a lot, what would stand against reaching such a goal?

Now I don't want this post to look like we should have norms and standards in this community, but I've noticed on my personal daily chores that when I set goals and fixed numbers I achieve them easier and trust me being involved in an engagement initiative would only benefit all of its participants. What do you say now, time for a new initiative 10?

Thanks for attention, Adrian
