"Clear Signs" The Crypto Market Has Bottomed
I was close to capitulate the other day. Yes, even the strong ones have their weak moments some times ;).
Was pondering on whether Bitcoin and the altcoin market will get lower and there was something in me almost pushing me to sell my entire portfolio for fiat. Some car problems that are making me thinking more of buying a newer one have had a weight in this regard as well.
But the main feeling was that we're entering a bear market like we had in 2018 and that was what almost made me panic sell. But sir, weren't you the one that was saying there are no bull and bear markets anymore? YES I AM... I said that quite a few times on my blog, but I still had strong doubts challenging me yesterday.
I admit that.
I haven't pushed the selling button though and I know I won't be doing that any time soon, even if the bear market happens. I am acting like a true contrarian and doing the total opposite of what my monkey brain says, especially during my weakest moments.
I was also reading some tweets today of @mindtrap and @edicted where Mindtrap was saying we should have a boredom index for Bitcoin while Edicted added that's the time when you should buy more, eyes closed. I guess he(@edicted) was right. Mindtrap was right too, because it sure feels a hell lot boring to be in crypto right now.
But you know what's interesting? Bitcoin sitting at $43,000 while the fear and greed index rests in extreme fear territory. That's another bottoming sign imo. The best one that I've got recently was from myself, though.
I guess mastering yourself in trading and investing is a lot about mastering you emotions, or better said, mastering your reactions to your emotions. Emotions occur naturally, there's nothing you can do about that, but your reaction and actions can impact your future on many levels.
I haven't took the instant gratification pill and have to thank myself for that, but I was so close... despite being so sure, just a few days ago, that there's no way we're entering a bear market any time soon... or ever. All of these might be "clear signs" that the crypto market has bottomed. What do you think?
