Narrowness, A Beat About The Old Beaten Drum

I haven't had a new year resolution post yet and I guess it's a bit late for that. The first month of the year has already kick started and it would be a bit dull to do that now. I won't be bothering to beat the drum on my financial goals for 2021 as many of you have already done that so what's this post all about?

It's about diversity. Yes, I wish to diversify my content more on leofinance. I feel like I've wrapped myself too much around a sort of a niche related to crypto and mostly to Bitcoin and I actually hate niches. There are so many finance and crypto related stuff that I could write about and not doing it.

It's not like I'm gonna ditch crypto related topics forever, as I might have those on a daily basis, but since my norm is about two posts a day, I plan on having the second one on more diverse topics.

I've noticed this sort of flaw to some other users as well on the platform, that quite similar to me are beating the drum on pretty much the same niche and it feels so annoying when checking the explore page and seeing three or four posts in a row talking BTC claiming $30,000 for the first time or that it has recently dipped x% and so on...

One of the few that kind of plays the role that I wish to embrace is @taskmaster4450le. He somehow manages to have a quite diverse blogging portfolio. You kind of learn new stuff and read or watch some new interesting stuff from his blog every other day, while mine really lacks this aroma. No need to hide that...

I was wondering a few days ago why engagement on my posts has tanked. Well, it's now clear why... I don't have anything new to offer and people are looking elsewhere for that. Same feeling I get for the overall look of Leofinance. Don't get me wrong, the feed is fine, it's brilliant to what I used to have on Steemit for example, but quite dull considering the potential.

I guess we should start overcoming the leo is great era and focus a bit more on topics non related to leo, somehow letting the platform and token to grow on its own without blowing into its ass every day. I really hope one day to see folks joining in for the diversity of topics to be found on Leofinance and really hope to be one of the content creators to actively take part in that.

I guess one of the reasons both Steem and Hive suffered from is "the self praising disease" where we spend too much time talking internals and too less opening up to the world. Publish0x for example, which is not great at all tbh, doesn't seem to be dealing with this.

My experience with Leofinance is unique and fulfilling for many reasons, but why not make it better... Why not? Now, I hope nobody takes too serious this post as it is mostly oriented towards my blog and my activity as a blogger, and not that much addressed to my fellow bloggers in here, but I really feel like putting more diversity into it.

I often look at it as some sort of a newspaper, and one that beats the drum every day on same niches is not something you eagerly wait on your door step every morning. Have you noticed how many times I used beating the drum in a bit over 500 words now? I guess it's the repetitiveness that is reflected on my posts as well and needs to be addressed.

I will stick with the core of the community for my renascence as a leofinance blogger and hopefully, gradually, will manage to give more fragrance to my blog. Then, engagement will probably once again come to life, as it used to be when I joined in. I will have to be more engaging as well, but need to definitely change something. Monotony often times kills greatness in everything.

Thanks for attention, Adrian
