My Goals for 2023
For 2022, I've set some very ambitious goals that I wanted to reach and I was very happy to succeed. What has to be said is that a part of 2022 was still marked by the pandemic. During that time, my offline work was reduced and I had more time to spend on Hive.
Now that things are back to usual (hopefully it will stay like that), I want to set more reasonable goals for myself. In 2022, I managed to double my Hive Power and also my HBD. For this year I want to increase it by 50%. Of course, this seems much less challenging. However, in terms of effective Hive Power and HBD, it represents the same numbers as in 2022.

When comparing the goals for 2022 and 2023, in effective tokens, they are even bigger in 2023. However my stakes will also help me on the way. I will earn more curation rewards and also earn more interests from HBD. So in terms of difficulty, I believe my goals for 2023 will slightly be easier to reach than in 2022.
It's a narrow margin between setting goals that are too easy to reach or too challenging. In 2022, it was slightly too challenging and I only managed because I swapped some stable coins into Hive. For 2023, there are no such reserves anymore... After a couple of months, I will quickly see if my goals are still too ambitious or not.
Income sources
Content creation
My main income sources to reach my goals are content creation, curation, HBD interests and also income from side projects. Content creation is still the biggest income source and I will try to produce quality posts on a regular basis. I'm quite happy if I can produce 2-3 posts per week.
Passive income from stakes
Thanks to my bigger stakes, the part of passive income should grow in respect to the past. Especially the HBD interests give a big boost to that specific goal. I should get more than 2'000 HBD in interests alone. This means I need to earn less than 4'000 HBD from content creation.
Second layer tokens
I have quite a lot of different income sources on the second layer of Hive. Also I use about 10% of the income from games like Splinterlands, Risingstar and Genesis soccer to reach my goals.
There also many passive income opportunities that I use on the second layer. I have for example SIM power that pays daily dividends in Hive. I own Income tokens that also pay daily dividends in Hive. Then I own a lot of LENM tokens that pay me daily dividends that I can swap for Hive.
All this will work together to help me reach my goals...
