As many of you know @rabona is a fantasy football manager on Hive with Fantasy players. Since the start I got involved and put some Hive into it, I didn't expect to really make a return on it, just wanted to support the project really and see how it develops, but recently they stopped selling RBN (their ingame token) themselves and it's now only being generated from the game to each manager and at the same time letting players trade it freely on their market:

Now, after what I mentioned above, I'm 100% sure I haven't been the most efficient at the game, not only am I not in the top league right now and still only manage players I mostly had from the beginning (except some I forgot to renew contracts with and lost them). I am sure there are other managers who've been way more efficient, but probably not as efficient in terms of ROI as you may expect considering no one really knew the exchange would exist the way it does now.

I remember in the beginning I was pretty gambly and was scouting players constantly just to see if I get some with very good overall stats even though I knew the odds were against me because the "Youth Academy" which improves your odds to scouting good players the more you level up them was limited at the time as building it had a cooldown. With this I'm saying that I burned a lot of Hive just scouting when I could've just picked some players from the market instead, at the same time I also kind of dilluted the difficulty of teams getting good players cause the ones I scouted but didn't need, I sold cheaply to others who could use them for the base scouting price instead of leaving them on the market and waiting for someone to buy them a bit higher. Either way, I went to @inertia's Hive Together tool to check all my transfers to Rabona and how much I've managed to make back from it. Before the exchange existed (which is only a couple weeks new) they used to send some Hive to managers depending on the rank they were at on a weekly basis when a season would end, so I'll be including those too.

This took me a long time to count and there may some Hive off, but with the help of hive-db.com/@rabona/transfers I was able to pick up a few tx's hive-together somehow missed and it resulted in a total of 614.527 Hive "invested". This also happened about 4 months ago, so for fun to calculate the return in USD later I decided to check an average price of Hive at the time as I invested most of this in the first week then stopped putting any more Hive into it shortly after. Most Hive purchases occurred around September 27th with an average price of Hive being 15.5c meaning the total Hive invested into Rabona was around $95.25.

Now let's get back to what I've received back from @rabona ever since. First off the weekly payouts that were given to all players depending on their spot and in which league, I was promoted to the first league early on but after a couple weeks got demoted and went a bit more casual after that as I didn't have too much time to spend on the game but managed to stay in the second league and currently in a tight first position to maybe be promoted to the first league again. For those of you who want to look after your own stats, do note that the seasonal rewards came from the @rabona.rewards account and not the main rabona one, took me a while to figure that out. :P

Anyways, here are the numbers:

Seasonal rewards: 167.007 Hive So here it's important to note that you get more the higher in rank you are, probably also depends on other things as well but not going to get into that cause I don't know, lol, if anyone else who knows more wants to chime in then feel free to.

Now we getting to what I've made by selling RBN. RBN sales: 1097.361 Hive

Total: 1264.368 Hive - 614.527 = 649.841

So a bit over 2x profit in Hive so far and in USD hive is currently trading at 14c so that's a $90.97 profit with a $95.25 initial investment.

Now before you go and yolo all your Hive into it I need to mention that there was an early adopter bonus in the sense of you gaining fans by managing games, doing well early on, building your stadium, shop, catering, etc. Right now I'm in the 2nd league and earning about 30M RBN per season:

On top of that I've mainly just been maximizing my RBN earnings as of late by setting a balanced price of tickets to the games so it'll get most amount of buyers and same thing with the shop. I don't think it's impossible to get going with the game without putting in any Hive at all aside from the starter kit cost (if that's even a thing anymore as I couldn't find my referral link earlier) but it's going to be a slow process. The good news is that it's a fun process, games happen often, a whole season occurs in 1 week and you can see your players progress and have a lot of fun experimenting with stats, positions, scouting new players, getting RBN revenue, growing, etc. Can highly recommend it even though I personally don't have a lot of time to play right now I can tell you you also don't really need to know a lot about football to get into it. Football Manager has been a pretty big sport game in the past and it's pretty addictive, @rabona managed to turn that and combine it with crypto where you can put some in and even take some out depending on how much time and strategy you put into the game.

I fully expect my RBN earnings to start to decline over the next coming seasons as others will surpass me in having bigger stadiums, more fans, etc, but for now I'm going to enjoy cashing out some RBN cause another account of mine is pressuring me with liquids at this time. Maybe at some point I'll stop selling them and let it grow again so I can purchase some NFT's they're adding right now (which you can read about in their latest blogpost) and maybe even growing my stadium to the max and all the other buildings. Anyway, good job to the team and looking forward to it's future development!

Thanks for reading and feel free to let me know how you've done "financially" in Rabona if you've bothered doing the math. :D
