When one door closes, another door is definitely going to open. And I believe that when is about to open, it opens more doors than you ever expected.

I bring my greetings to everyone in the Ink well community. This is my first time here, and I am pretty sure that I would enjoy my stay here.

The Ink well community have attracted me for a very long time now. I have been planning to join, but because of workload in school with lectures, I am joining at this time. The topic for this week prompt is very attractive too. In life there are times when you will have challenges that will make you feel as if you have come to the end of the road. I have also faced situationa like that in some cases.

Today, I will be sharing with the house a very touching life story of mine that almost push me off track. But thank God it is all in the past now. But I have also learnt a very big lessons from that ugly experience. The lessons that I learnt have helped me to keep moving in life, knowing that no matter how dark the night is , the sun will still shine the next day. Life is a teacher itself. If you have not learnt any lesson from the experiences you had in life, then you will keep moving in a circle for the rest of your life.

I once own a computer business center years back. In that business center, I had it devided into two parts. One part was used for training of students who came for computer training. The second side was used for : typing of documents, photocopy of documents, lamination of certificate and what have you. The business was moving very well because I make a lot of money from it. I have done that business for over ten years and things were normal.

One faithful day, we were served with a later from our then government that our shops will be demolished because they are making plans to build a better shops for the state. Meanwhile, the shop that I was using belongs to me. So, the government promised that when they are through with building the shops, our shops will be given back to us. We believe them and in a week time, the bulldozer was already there to demolish the shops. We weren't even prepared at that time to park our properties out of the shop. So, they gave us the whole day to fix ourselves and move out with our properties.

We waited for the six months that was promised and nothing was happening at the market. The building has not even begun and we were all stranded. Especially myself. I never had any savings to go get another shop. So, all I did was to park all my computers at home waiting for the government. At this time, I have spent all the little money left with me. My husband too had no money with him because we were all making enough money from that demolished shop. So, now we became broke. No money for feeding, no money to pay house rent, no money for the children's school fees. I was badly affected because I don't like seeing my children staying without food. The situation was not bearable for me.

ANOTHER DOOR OPENS FOR ME.

While I was in that state, a friend of mine advice me to go back to school and complete my studies. I was reluctant about it at first because of the money involved. I was still thinking of how to take care of my family and someone is asking me to go back to school. But on a second thought, I felt like giving it a trial. No harm in trying. I managed to go back to school and I was registered. It was that my friend that paid my first fees and bought some few things that was needed for me to go back to school.

The surprised aspect of ut all. I started receiving financial assistance from family and friends who really cared about us. Before the time of paying my children's fees comes, someone is already waiting to pay for them. Same thing happened to my own fees. I finished secondary school in two years and got enrolled in a tertiary institution. I started studying English language and I cam out with one of the best results in the year 2019. My school called me and gave me a certificate of award for coming out as one of the best students of the year.

After that I proceeded to study Language Arts in ABU Zaria, studying Language Arts, and I am doing very well today. Presently in my 300 level and will be rounding up my studies next year.

LESSONS FROM MY EXPERIENCE I have come to understand that when God wants to take you to another level in life, he will first of all take away your former level to make you ready for the next level. Some have given up on God because of situations like this. But thank God I was able to stand. My family also is doing very well now and we don't have much financial problems anymore.

In conclusion, stay put and don't give up on your dreams, even if it seems as if the whole world is tearing apart. Keep moving and hopping for the best.
