A degree is not a guarantee of success
The term "success" is pretty broad. It can mean different things for different people. In fact, there are a variety of paths to success. Some people may succeed with a college education, others may succeed without. Some people may succeed by gaining skills and experience. Some people may succeed because they're born into a wealthy family. But when it comes to getting a good job, the question is often asked, "What do you need to be successful?" The answer is not as simple as it may seem, and the choice of what to study is a difficult one.
But It is often said that people that are successful are those who have the right skills. However, many people with degrees are not even considered to be successful! What do you think it takes to be successful? Is it really just a certain set of skills that you need to have? Or is it a certain degree?
Skills vs. Degree
Skills are a lot more valuable than a degree for me. A degree is just a piece of paper that shows that you have learned a certain amount of information. It does not show that you have learned it in any way that is useful to society or that you have gained any skills that can be used in the real world. A degree is not even guaranteed to make you successful. There are a lot of people who get degrees and end up working in dead end jobs. There are many people who don't even have a degree and have been successful in life because they have a lot of skills. These skills could be anything from knowing how to cook to knowing how to write. If you learn how to cook, for instance you are not just learning a skill, you are also saving yourself money.
If you've been in a shoe that you went to obtain a degree for several years and after that there is no job you'll see yourself as wasting of time, and asking yourself why can't I just find a skill instead of going for degree, and that exactly what most of us Nigeria youth are doing after a degree. We enrolled ourself to learn some skills in order to be successful in labor market.
Although society believe that a college degree is the only way to be successful. However, this is not true. People are successful without a college degree and they are successful with a college degree. There are many different fields that require a college degree, but there are also many fields that do not require a college degree. The important part of it is to know what you want to do and what type of career you are looking for. If a college degree is what you want, then it is important to decide what type of college degree you want by consider what type of degree you are looking for that will help you become successful. When you have all of these factors in mind, you will be able to make an informed decision about what type of college degree you want to pursue. There are many people who are under the impression that one must have a college degree in order to be successful. However, there are many people who have jobs without any type of degree. This is because there are many jobs that require skills, not a college degree. One must have a mix of both skills and a degree in order to be successful.
In conclusion
A degree is not a guarantee of success. We live in a society where we put a lot of pressure on people to have a degree. A degree is a good thing in the sense that it teaches you things that you wouldn't be able to learn on your own. But it is not a guarantee of success. We need to stop putting so much pressure on people to have a degree. Instead, we should focus on what skills we have and what we are good at. There are a lot of people who are successful without a degree.
