Gala Gaming has been picking up steam for some time now! The token value has steadily increased while an ecosystem of games is built out. Is it still early?

I've seen GALA Games around and its come up recently with NFT and blockchain gaming chat with friends invested in the space.

Unfortunately I didn't actually get to have a deep dive until recently and I can say I'm a little bit late on one of the main games being built there, but still early for the ecosystem in general and the seemingly large amount of games that will be developed and launched on the network.

What is Gala Games?

It's a gaming ecosystem! A business with significant backing, as it was just announced this summer that Gala Games was able to secure funding from Binance Secure Chain’s $100M accelerator fund.

Their founder and CEO Eric Schiermeyer is the co-founder for Zynga which produced games like zynga poker and farmville etc, and he's the former co-founder and CTO of Myspace! The guys got business, tech, and gaming chops.

The Gala Games platform is a portal to a couple of released games, and a few soon to be released games. Within the portal of course there's a market where Gala sells NFT's that are used or will be used in game. Gala is also in the process of launching their own blockchain to get away from the ridiculous fee's of the ETH network. Currently GALA is an ERC20 token, buy assets on the gala market requires owning GALA and some ETH to pay for fees.

The Games!

If the games turn out to be epic, I can see millions of users coming over to the chain and the games ecosystem. Even if the first few games are so so we're still super early in what will amount to a massive industry (Blockchain Gaming).

I've been playing TownStar, a browser game with total farmville vibes, but with NFT's! Free to play, and you can earn NFT and coins, and of course this is accelerated if you purchase some NFT's from the market to use in game, typical P2E.

Spider Tanks looks fun and I'll give it a shot too if my laptop can handle it. But the game that's got peoples attention is Mirandus.

Mirandus is an epic fantasy RPG set in a massive world ruled by five player-monarchs. In game, players have absolute freedom of choice: they can set out into the wilderness alone to try their fortunes against the monsters of the deep woods and dungeons, join with one of the monarchs to serve as a knight in their court, or set up shop in one of the five great cities of the realm. Player ownership of in-game assets is a central mechanic, with players being able to hold land deeds which allow them to claim parts of the wilderness and set up holdfasts ranging from small farms to massive cities. In Mirandus, you decide who you will be and choose your own quest in the epic fight against evil.

Sounds juicy right? and for good reason, this could be huge, and with the early interest Gala and Mirandus have gathered there's a community in place, now all we need is the team to deliver on product.

Most of the games assets available through the market have already sold out with the exception of a final few pieces. I've sniped a couple assets for my hodl bag in hopes of another 100x opportunity a la Splinterlands, but who knows how things will go.

I'm sort of early, and am happy enough to hopefully get a chance to play the Alpha with the purchase of an Exemplar, and possibly have some limited edition assets for a game that may have thousands of players in the future, and a type of game that I myself could play and hopefully enjoy.

I love me an MMO and am waiting for blockchain MMO's to roll out an mass!

This could be one of the first ones to pop off, but I'm sure there will be many many more which is why we will always stay on the looking for blockchain gaming investment opportunities.

The open world player owned economy could be truly epic, and I think this is a Team and business that has a chance of pulling it off.

Ciao for now,
