Samsung TV's Adding NFT Support!

Will 2022 be the year of NFT displays? Obviously NFT's boomed last year and so it seems the display options to enjoy our digital collection is lagging behind. Samsung aims to fix this.

CES 2022 begins on Wednesday, so I'm sure this is just the beginning in terms of seeing big tech unveil products that incorporate NFT's.

Samsung’s 2022 displays will also see the technology trend of NFTs integrated. According to the manufacturer, 2022 TV owners will be able to purchase, display and “trade” NFT images direct from their devices.

Must Construct Additional Displays

We will definitely see wall mount displays for NFT's in the near future. Just like we display traditional art on the walls, people also want to display their digital art too!

Thing is as of right now I don't really want to dedicate a brand new Samsung TV to displaying my NFT's, I want that in my home theatre for movies. Guess I'm not balling enough yet.

That said, we need more affordable options to display our NFT's, and we don't need the latest and greatest in LED tech to do it. Sure it should be sharp and clear, with enough colours to do its art justice, but I don't think that's too much to ask from a fair amount of existing screen technology out there.

Samsung Also Adding Stadia and GeForce

So Samsung is rolling out their new TV's at CES 2022 and along with NFT support we're apparently going to see integration with gaming service like Stadia and GeForce.

This is really a no brainer, as we move away from standalone hardware for gaming, at least to some degree, it was just a matter of time.

I've yet to personally try one of these gaming subscription services, in fact i'm a couple days away from picking up a new gaming PC so I can once again put my Steam collection to good use!

Truth be told I'm gearing up to play Rust this winter with a 4 man squad. I also bought SCUM on sale and will have to fire up Dayz a few times I'm sure.

No desire yet to give up on hardware but the shift is on, and Samsung is doing its thing to stay one step ahead, offering these gaming services natively through the TV along with access to your NFT collection.

Samsung NFT Market?

Word on the street is Samsung will allow access to some existing markets as well as offer their own platform for browsing NFT's.

Will this be a full fledged market, I have to wonder where they're going with this, and if this is their foot in the door to gaining a piece of the NFT market pie. Only time will tell I guess!
