I am not a normal poster here because most of my posts tend to be something else other than finance or crypto finance related. Today however I know I have to post this here in the hopes that I will get your help.

I have recently started to ramp up my activities in #hiveengine to learn its intricacies in order not to get rich but to be able to know how to use it accordingly when someone asks me about it in the future. I don't foresee myself being an expert but I do hope that I will learn something valuable today about liquidity.

I am putting some of the tokens that I have into liquidity pools that have rewards on them and for me it is pretty straight forward that I will get something in return for providing liquidity to the tokens. I am still not a hundred percent with the whole liquidity pool concept but from what I gather it is so to provide the platform (hive-engine) the tokens to allow for trading in case there are too many people Hodling their tokens.

My hope for this post is to go one step further.

This is a question post. A query into the workings. A pursuit of knowledge. A journey of enlightenment. An endeavor to progress. A thousand steps starts with one.

My question then is. What do I get for providing liquidity of a token that does not have any advertised reward. I know it benefits me indirectly since the platform will have tokens for anyone to use it effectively for decentralised financial transactions.

But directly what does a liquidity provider get for allowing their tokens to float in Hive-Engine.

I hope for some of you this will be an easy answer. I hope you enlighten me. I hope to learn something new today. I hope to learn something new for tomorrow. I hope that with these I am able to look back and see the past.

Thank you in advance.
