Yes, Bitcoin is a unique, truly decentralized, censorship-resistant store of value that has stood the test of time, but blockchain technology is still incredibly new and stating that nothing useful can be built using blockchain is an incredibly ignorant thing to say.

What about the automobile? the airplane? nuclear fusion? the internet?
Yes, there have been plane crashes, nuclear meltdowns and hacks, but that certainly doesn't mean that these technologies are shit-tech, does it?

Yes, there are a lot crap projects with sneaky teams and weak tokenomic models. This is true.
Yes, there are a bunch of premines and venture capital backed projects that were only designed to favor the founders and investors. This is also true.

But blockchain as a whole is still early and we’re still learning how to use it.
I’m a Bitcoiner because I hold and love Bitcoin. I believe it’s sound money that solves a lot of the worlds problems. Like what happened to the Canadian truckers protesting against COVID-19 restrictions. They had their bank accounts frozen by the government so what did they do? they turned to Bitcoin as a censorship-resistant peer-to-peer form of sending money.
Is everything else built on this unrestrained demon that is blockchain a useless shitcoin?

We have not yet developed every use case possible in the existence of code. nor will we; ever.
so in the words of George Bernard Shaw, calling everything that is not Bitcoin a shitcoin is not only ignorant, it’s downright dangerous.

I use several of the dapps built on the #hive ecosystem like @leofinance, @peakd, @ecency (to name a few of my favs) because I own my account in a distributed network and I can monetize my blog, video, podcasts and even my interactions with other members of the community.
The #hive network is decentralized and censorship-resistant, with no premine, no CEO, no venture capital. and improvements are being made to it all the time.
which allows more dapps like these to be built and improved.
