Hi,

for today's #askleo, the # tag brought to us by @acesontop, I want to ask you if you make any budget with your crypto?

The question might sound weird, as crypto price changes faster than I change my undies.

Well, I'm asking this, because the first hard lesson I've experienced when I was starting money, was the budget. I'm not speaking about high school jobs, where the money was not so relevant, but for the time I was in university and have started doing projects for real cash. For one project, with a perfect score, I was asking 100€ which was covering my monthly expenses at that time (I had a university scholarship for 100€/month and dorm included).

People knew that the projects are all individual and the data used was unique, and customers rushed in, so I was making on average 3 projects a month, which was giving me 3x the monthly needs on expenses. On some way or another, every end of the month I was broke. Well, I was partying hard, going on trips, having some new clothes and of the few people to have a car, which was a blast. My partner, as I was bringing the customers and ideas, and he was coding, told me to start budgeting, but real tight, so that I can start investing.

Long story short, at the end of the second year, I was investing 400€/month without too much effort, as money was allocated as it was coming in.

I try to apply it also in crypto, which somehow harder. The only thing is that I don't peg the token value to any FIAT currency and budget only on token number value. Now that targets have been reached, will try to fuel the other ones with the gains from the first ones. My budget is constantly changing due to this and needs some more care than others, but the assets are growing, better than expected in the past 4 years.

To you budget? Do you allocate and plan your assets or let all come and spend at free will without looking into it?
