Hi,

for today's #askleo, the tag by @acesontop, I want to ask if you are doing business alone or with a team?

I was speaking this week, on a business trip with a client, about the development of my business and the team members. He was having 2 partners and 57 employees, searching for more hires at the moment.

As I've started a new venture last year, I decided to do it with partners, as I know I have my good and bad sides and I need a balance to my character. So, with some partners, we went into a new venture. We have now 9 employees and hope to close the year with 12, if we reach our goals.

I was most of my time a solo person doing business. I could decide the pace and the direction, but everything was depending on me, which is sadly not a fault proof state. Also, it is not scalable. It can grow to a certain point, but after this point most things needs to be delegated.

I've got an employee who is doing the stuff I did. I pay him less that I would pay me and with this, I have more time to think and set up systems. I've hired this person only to do my tasks. As it looks good, I think I might hire some other to take care of other sides of my life, at least of tasks that I don't want to do.

Setting up the system was the hardest part, but after it is rolling, every part is replaceable, I don't rely on a single employee and the tasks can be shared with the others. I can copy this for scaling.

Solo is good for learning and for the start, but now I would only start with partners and with a team for faster and better results.

How are you doing business, alone or with a team?
