KiwiSaver Growth Strategy Fund

NZ Funds (New Zealand Funds Management Ltd.), a wealth management firm from New Zealand, that runs the KiwiSaver Growth Strategy Fund, which can be used as a pension fund, similar to the 401k in the USA, stated that it has bought 5% BTC to add it to the fund.

The fund value is not that big as some USA counterparts, being at $244 millions is still big for New Zealand population size. Putting more than $12 million into Bitcoin can be a save bet, especially that the fund major decision maker, James Grigor states that Bitcoin can't be ignored.

Pension Funds

Here is the deal, the more funds see crypto as an asset, the more will jump into it. We see more and more pensions covered by crypto.

This can't be any more ignored, as it is the financial health of millions of elders, now or in the future. This shows us also that mass adoption is here. If old people invest into crypto we have mass adoption.

This is very good news, as pension will not be state and government reliant, and we will have a big paradigm shift in the following years. Most people pay into mandatory pension funds run by governments. The governments are not running them, they are just spending them at a higher rate than they are coming in.

Do I hope to get some pension from the state? No, I wish that my money is not wasted, but there is little hope that this is not happening.

This is why I try to invest as much as possible, and as much as possible into crypto, to have a comfortable retirement. I hope to be able to retire earlier as the legal age, and this dream of mine can be achieved with crypto. At the moment #cubdefi is doing a pretty good job, towards my goal of an early retirement?

How do you see the moves of pension funds into crypto? Are you planing your retirement?
