Twitter to use USDC on Polygon

Hi,

some interesting news today. Twitter, together with Snipe, is testing the payments on the platform with USDC from Polygon.

This is exciting, as there are a lot of users, that will adopt crypto faster with this. USDC being a pegged coin, the risk of using it, is minimal.

I wished they would take HBD, but this is another story. USDC has the big advantage that it is predictable. I'm using it also for some daily needs and cash reserves for fast buys.

Twitter, being so huge, can make a big dent in the adoption, where some will not even notice that they use crypto. Once reached this stage, the sky is the limit.

More and more companies will leave the old financial system and will turn to crypto, even with the pegged versions, which are tied to the old ways. I see them as necessary steps in the crypto evolution.

On the other side, I would have wished that a blockchain project would have taken over Twitter or that a project that is crypto based, would have passed Twitter on the same market niche. Maybe #projectblank would have done it. Now, with this step, Twitter is moving into the right direction, and it will probably be a hybrid of both worlds, without ever turning to a blockchain or being decentralized.
