Let's Talk About Curation | Hablemos Sobre Curación
Hey @eddiespino here! In the last few weeks we have been working hard to grow this account. Little by little we have made good progress and yesterday we gave a very good step towards our curation goals.
¡Hola aquí @eddiespino! In las últimas semanas hemos estado trabajando muy fuerte para fometar el crecimiento de esta cuenta. Poco a poco hemos hecho buen progreso y just ayer dimos un paso crucial para nuestras metas de curación.
Hablemos Sobre Curación
We currently have 20K HivePower on the account. Most HivePower is owned and so far we had not figured out how to compensate delegators, but some users have been supporting us without expecting anything in return. They are: @traciyork, @fmbs25, @pacoandujar and @marpolaris. Yesterday I sent them the first transfer for their delegation and a little extra Hive to cover the time they have delegated Hive to us.
Actualmente tnemos un poco más de 20K HivePower en la cuenta. La mayot parte de este HivePower es propio y hasta el momento no habíamos decifrado la forma de recompensar a los delegadores, pero algunos usuarios nos han estado apoyando sin esperar nada a cambio. Ellos son: @traciyork, @fmbs25, @pacoandujar y @marpolaris. Ayer envié la primera transferecia por sus delegaciones y también un poco de Hive extra para cobrir el tiempo que nos delegaron.
What was stopping us was that we did not have a way to calculate the rewards for the delegations, I asked a few experts on the subject, @acidyo even shared with me the code for his delegation bot (formerly bidbot) but I don't have the technical knowledge to implement something like that. So I asked another friend from the @alebrijes community. His name is @ritch, he is also one of the leaders on @hivemexico.
Lo que nos estaba deteniendo era que no teníamos una manera de calcular las delegaciones, así que pregunté a algunoa expertos, @acidyo incluso compartió conmigo el código de su bot de delagación (anteriormente bidbot) pero no tengo el conocimiento técnico para implementarlo. Así que le pregunté a otro amigo de la comunidad de @alebrijes. Su nombre es @ritch, el también es uno de los líderes de @hivemexico.
@ritch shared with me a spreadsheet where he made some formulas to calculate the APR, the rewards for each delegator and the amount of Hive that has to be sent in total. He explained it to me, and I was able to adapt it to Aliento. The calculations are done easily with the spreadsheet but the transfers have to be done manually, but it's not that hard. Thank you @ritch!
@ritch compartió una hoja de cálculo donde tenía algunas fórmulas para calcular el APR, las recompensas por cada delegador y el monto total que hay que mandar en Hive. Me explicó como funciona y pude adaptarla a Aliento. Los cálculos se hacen fácilmente con la hoja de cálculo pero las transferecias hay que hacerlas manaulmente, pero no es tan dificil. ¡Gracias @ritch!
As I said most of the delegations come from my account @eddiespino, my wife's account @grisvisa and also from a couple of delegation that I got from DLease just as a test for four weeks. So right now I only had to send around 3 HIVE each week to the delegators. My current plan is to find more delegators and tell them why delegating to Aliento is a good option, both to earn Hive and also to support the community.
Como mencioné anteriormente la mayor parte de las delegaciones vienen desde mi cuenta personal de @eddiespino, y la de de mi esposa @grisvisa y tambipen de un par de delegaciones que obtuvimos desde DLease como una prueba por cuatro semanas. Por el momento sólo necesito enviar 3 HIVE cada semana a los delegadores. Mi plan actual es encontrar más delegadores y decirles por qué Aliento es una buena opción, tanto para ganar Hive como para apoyar a la comunidad.
A couple of hours ago I tweeted about the plans that I have for curation. Votes on Aliento are 100% manual, but I have decided to make use of some semi-automatic tools which I will share with more details in a future post. I want to vote posts that I'm sure will have good rewards, but I also want to vote posts from users that normally don't get good votes to motivate them to be active on Hive.
Hace un par de horas compartí un Tweet sobre mis planes de curación. Los votos de Aliento son 100% manual, pero he decidido usar algunas herramientas semi-automáticas las cuales compartiré a detalle en una futura publicación. Quiero votar publicaciones que se que van a obtener buenas recompensas y hacerlo antes que nadie, y también votar publicaciones para motivar a los usuarios a estar activos en Hive.
As I said on the Tweet my goal is to have balance so the account can grow, delegators are happy with the rewards and also I can help new users to stay motivated.
Como mencioné en el Tweet mi meta es tener un balance para que la cuenta pueda crecer, los delegadores estén felices con las recompensas y también ayudar a los nuevos usuarios a estar motivados.
Almost forgot about something very important. I will be sharing at least 85% of the curation rewards. This means that I have a great responsibility to maximize my votes. One of the advantages that I have is that I am one of the curators for a big whale so many of the posts that I vote with @aliento end up having a vote from that whale. This way we all win.
Casi olvido mencionar algo muy imporatente. Estaré compartiendo por lo menos el 85% de las ganancias de curación. Esto quiere decir que tengo una gran responsabilidad para maximizar mis votos. Una de las ventajas que tengo es que también soy curador de una ballena grande en Hive y que muchas de las publiaciones que voto con @aliento también obtienen el voto de esta ballena. Así todos ganamos.

As you can see on the next screenshot that I took last week in some posts we can have a great efficiency with the votes and even though I cannot see the correct APR on some platforms I think we are doing good and all of this with less than 20K HivePower.

Como pueden ver en la captura de pantalla anterior podemos llegar a tener una gran eficiencia en las publicaciones y a pesar de que no podemos ver el APR corrento en las págines mencionadas anteriormente creo que estamos haciendo un buen trabajo y todo esto con menos de 20K HivePower.
Curation can be a full time job and also very hard and with a lot of responsibility, but I enjoy it a lot. This is only one of the things that we do in Aliento. We also promote, organize and support contests and initiatives, we have already sponsored a couple with votes and liquid Hive. And the another thing that we are currently doing is giving personalized support to new users, we help them solve doubts and guide them though the basics.
Ser curador puede ser un trabajo de tiempo completo yt ambién tiene mucha responsabilidad, pero lo disfruto mucho. Esta es sólo una de las cosas que hacemos con Aliento. También promovemos, organizamos y apoyaos iniciativas, hemos patrocinado un par de ella e incluso hemos dado Hive líquido para los premios y también votos. Otra cosa que también hemos estado haciendo es dar asesorías personalizadas a nuevos usuarios, hemos ayudado a resolver dudas y guiarlos con lso básico.
