Full Moon Mayhem on Hive
Things are about to get really interesting!
Monday
January 17 at midnight EST (Sunday night going into Monday morning - to alleviate any Ragnarok snapshot-esque confusion), Chaos Legion goes into its general sale. This means that packs cost $4 and you can buy as many as you want.
I think a lot of people were waiting for this date to make their big plays... after all, you can sell vouchers and pocket the cash until the general sale... get more packs. The only fear was, and continues to be a rapid sellout. I believe that, based on the way the market moved during phase 2 of the sale, that we are not going to see all chaos legion packs sell out on day 1... but we may see some large volume of packs sold.
Much like other editions, once the packs start to move, FOMO and panic sets in and before you know it, all of the packs are gone. This could happen very quick. The team has some 12.5 ish million packs still available. They claim 1.5 million are sold to bulk buyers. So... we are hovering somewhere around 11 million after that.
There are 500,000 plus active accounts. That leaves 22 packs per active account (if we go with simple math). 22 packs costs $88. This is not a lot of money that each account needs to shovel into the coals of this red hot fire. We could see these packs go rather quickly. I am guessing anyone that wants to buy packs on January 17th should be able to do so. I am not so sure about January 31st though.
Selling out Chaos Legion quick (which is 10 times the supply of Untamed) would be a very bullish scenario for all of Hive. It will bring a lot of attention to the blockchain that hosts the biggest P2E game. Hive.
Everyone was talking about NBA Top Shots when they sold out their sets in minutes turning loads of people away empty handed. We can very well see something similar to this unfold in the coming days.
Tuesday
We can expect some answers to the question that has been asked countless times to Khal. Wen?
It started with 'soon' and then was upgraded to 'very soon' a few weeks ago. The AMA on Wednesday hinted that we would get some clearer answers at the next AMA... which is scheduled for Tuesday. If we get a definitive date and final details about the PolyCub airdrop, the CUB and LEO rocket ship is going to be lit on fire! Everyone that has been waiting or got tired of waiting and went elsewhere are going to be woken up and brought back to CUB and the hype that everyone on Hive and LEO was feeling back in March when CUB first launched will return with a vengeance.
I cannot being to imagine what is going to unfold once PolyCUB tokens start dripping into our wallets, but I know for certain that it is going to be a very positive experience, especially for everyone that rode out the winter holding on to their cubbies.
Full Moon
Don't forget that we have a full moon showing up on Monday (which I like to think as a 3 night event). Sunday - Monday - Tuesday.
Sunday night, Splinterlands packs are for sale, no strings attached. Monday we could very well see that all of the packs have sold out, or at least a signal that you'd better hurry up and buy before the 'sold-out' sign arrives.
Tuesday we are going to find out the deal with PolyCUB.
Bullishness beyond belief!
I have never seen things line up like this before, and I am pretty stoked and well positioned for this event. Hopefully these next few days deliver.
I think Chaos Legion will sell out before January is done. My guess is we are going to get a date for PolyCUB launch in the not to distant future and we are going to see a lot of bullish activity on Hive.
