Things can change fast in Crypto!

I had goals set for last month that I did not hit. That being said, I didn't hit them on purpose because things changed. Things changed drastically! I have been meaning to blog on here a few times a week, but that hasn't happened... because... THINGS CHANGE!

What am I talking about?

Splinterlands mooning has really got me doing a lot of leg work. I have an alt account full of single (meta) cards that I stocked up for the occasion. So, I have been managing the sale of those cards on top of optimizing my SPS airdrop points. It is really one of the most lucrative games in town at the moment.

If you hold $1500 in DEC, you get $9 (ish) a day in SPS drops. This is crazy. My bet was against the price holding. My bet was for the price dropping hard in the first month. It held and it looks strong as Splinterlands players are being strong-armed into staking them in order to get in on the next round of cards with the 100,000 plus player base, it likely will look like trying to by an NBA top-shot pack... get in line and meet the criteria... there is not enough to go around.

That being said, my goals have changed somewhat on the short term.

CUB has also just gotten into IDO country, so I am still a little bit too much into the CUB (and still pretty happy to be in that position). That said, I don't want to sell my DEC or my CUB to get my goals over the top... so, for the short term... I missed the boat on a few... but I have a feeling that I will be able to get back on track once the SPS dust settles and I find out how to get in line to buy Chaos Legion packs.

Let's take a look at my goals and where I ended up.

Hive Power

source

Where I wanted to be Spetember 1: 6200 Where I ended up: 6123 --- 77 short

Where I want to be next month: 6300

Can I do it... yes, I just need to be more consistent with my blogging and curation. So... my goal is to get on here and write a few posts a week and get my growth back on track. Totally doable and I didn't miss by much.

POB power

source

Where I wanted to be September 1: 8200 Where I ended up: 8229

Where I want to be next month: 9100

I kept pace on POB. I have been curating and commenting a bit, but not as much as I have been in the past. I intend to get back on here a bit more in September. If I manage that, I might just blow my goal out of the water.

LEO Power / Bridge Stake

source

Where I wanted to be September 1: 2750 Where I am currently: 1700 Where I was last month: 1900

Goal for next month: 3400

I lost LEO this month. It pumped and I lost some LEO in the pool. I also moved a bit of LEO into DEC to get some more SPS token drops. Like I said, things change. I hope to get back on track as I still would like to have 10,000 (soft goal) LEO by the end of 2021 (5000 is the HARD goal).

Dunk

source

My Dunk stake is on auto-pilot for the off-season. But the @amr008 engagement project is a good place to delegate to. My stake is in good hands. I earn and all of the off-season hoop nuts will earn a lot more dunk from commenting, which is the name of the game for the Dunk eco-system. It is one big basketball hangout. Who doesn't like making money talking shop?

September 1 goal: 9600 Where I got to: 10,819

Next months target: 12,100

I am really bullish on DUNK. The price is low, the APR is high and the use case is giant. How many basketball fans are there in the world? How many of them like a good side hustle? You see where I am going with this. HUGE. That said, I want to make sure that I have 15,000 of these bad boys by year end. I intend to write a couple more "Look at a Legend" posts this month to keep the coals in the fire... and soon enough, we are tipping off another season. Can't wait!

Bee

source

Things sometimes have to change. My goal was to have 3000 Bee by the end of the year. It is not going to happen... but, there is now a diesel pool for BEE (and HBD) that pays out in BEE. So, I will not be shelving my goal to accumulate BEE (I am also mining it by staking WORKERBEE), I will pool my BEE and hope to get some more that way. I knew this goal was going to be touch and go. This is a good consolation prize anyway.

Broadhive

Yikes! I didn't really get too far on this one. In fact, mega-whale status is mighty cheap over here. $233 is the marketcap of the entire tribe. I am not giving up on it, but I have not given the effory required to get people excited about stacking BHT.

I wanted to get that marketcap up to over $1000. It didn't happen last month. I will stick with it. BHT to the moon! I mean, who doesn't like reading blogs about crypto and technology? Sounds like a good tribe to be in on the ground floor... it doesn't get cheaper... and if it does... I own a whole bunch more BHT. Hahaha... even when I lose I win.

CUB

I am a whale on CUB. I plan to be a whale on Polygon CUB too. Soon, the soonest of soons I am sure. When CUB does its inevitable dance upwards, I will be happy to add a bit of LEO and a bit of HIVE to my portfolio to make up for my shortfalls this month... It has performed wonderfully. BTC fell, CUB stayed put. BTC went up, CUB stayed put. This is a good thing when you are making 100% APY. Stay put all you want. I will keep on stacking. When the time is right I will make my goals right.

SPS

I am trying to optimize my airdrop. My deck is a mess and it is hard to win anything, so I am selling some of my cards to hold onto the DEC as I get more points. More points = more airdrop. Once Chaos Legion comes out I should have a nice bag to buy in and keep the show going. So, I don't have a monetary goal, just a goal to keep my SPS game growing.

Fiat

source

The truth is, I need to fix some things fiat wise, and I am sure I am not alone on this. I am looking at my portfolio and know that I am getting close to the time where I need to take a bit out and fix my situation. I don't want to miss out on the 4 year cycle fun... but where is the top? That is the million dollar question. I am keeping it in the back of my mind and I am also familiar with the adage that "it's always a good time to take some profits." I will likely start doing that soon.

There you have it!

I didn't make all of my goals that I set last month, but, things change. I haven't forgotten about them, and I have only given up on one of them (kind of... it is just going to be a slower growth). I have made some goals with flying colours and I have a lot of work to do in other areas - LEO. That said, I am feeling pretty good with where I am at. See you next month to see where i landed. But I hope to not be so scarce on here moving forward too.
