Backstory

I stumbled upon the Broadhive tribe the same way that many of you might have. I was reading a post and saw the tagline at the end of it. I looked into it a little bit and it seemed to be both a legit project and right up my alley!

Proof of Brain and LeoFinance are my two mainstays. I like reading and writing about crypto mostly, but have the freedom to write whatever I want (POB is great for that!). It is also great to be able to browse a bunch of topics and read what catches your eye. Leo is great for learning about different cryptocurrencies while proof of brain is great for a random read.

Broadhive, for those of you who don't know, is a platform where people are encouraged to post about technology: blockchain and crypto fall nicely in that category. There is also a focus on investment and ROI on broadhive: all things that interest me. It has its own front end and it's own token much like other tribes. BHT, which I can only assum stands for BroadHive Token.

To earn BHT, it is easy enough. All you need to do is post #broadhive, #bht, of #bhive and boom! You are now earning BHT.

After noticing some of my favorite Leo and POB authors were using the broadhive tags, I investigated and liked what I saw. I was even more surprised to see that the tribe is new. Very new. Look at my post that I wrote on POB when I realized that it was up and running. This Post is the one.

The TLDR summary is that it is always more lucrative to get in on the ground floor on a project. It can also be a bit more risky when your own money is involved... but as they say, risk and reward go hand in hand!

I could not afford to become a POB whale. It was too pricy and my buy orders all got buried. I have been working to be a part of the community there and trying to provide good content and educated opinions where I feel I can. 1000 POB is darn near $1000 and I just don't have the type of money to really go in on POB. I would... believe me, I would.

BHT is a different story. The tokens are cheap right now, so I decided to put a few hundred Hive into it. I think that the project looks solid. The content looks good. The community seems like it could come together. If these things happen, then we are a few moves away from a tribe with real potential. I took the risk on this one.

New Whale in town

It could be for not, but the risk was small and I am somewhere in the top 10 token holding accounts. This excites me as I have been on Hive and its predecessors since mid 2017, but have never felt more responsibility for the blockchain until recently with both POB and now BHT. Moving forward, my vote will have some influence to POB and BHT accounts which is great. I am out of the "working to build a stake" category of Hiver and into the next stage of "caring for the chain and building the stake" category. I am also working on my Leo stake, but it's over on BSC right now.

Questions

Who started this tribe? Is there a whitepaper or similar document? Is there a dev fund? Is there a plan to grow the community? Are there curation projects? Is there commonly known community standards re: self-voting etc?

Discussion Point

Many of you have gotten some nice BHT votes from me and I am hoping to continue to share the wealth. One of the big deals for me in engagement. Discussion brings value so I encourage you to get involved in the tribe and get involved on these posts... they concern the very future of the tribe, so they are important.
