Amazon Expanding its Payment Portfolio with Amazon Pay

Technology has made our life simple and easy in many ways and payments are one of the growing parts of it. We have a variety of options to use today for making payments. Be it- Bank transfer, utility bill payment, Merchant payment, and many more.
PayTM is one of the most popular apps that offers almost everything related to money and payment and I have using this app since its beginning. I also use the amazon app for shopping and sometimes for payment when there is a good offer but not for all my payment needs. I was getting notifications from the amazon app that they have recently started insurance payment through Amazon pay.
My insurance premium was due so I thought of trying the Amazon Pay service for the first time and I like the overall experience. I know that Amazon is a leader in its technology but on the payment side also they have done pretty well. I just entered my policy number with mobile and it fetched the remaining details automatically. It did not take more than a minute time and payment was successful.
I also checked out that it has quite a big portfolio and I was not expecting this much but good that now we have another option than Paytm. These private companies are building a good platform for sure but I think we should always have alternate and there should no kind of monopoly situation.
Online payment is indeed helpful that saves time and now Amazon Pay in India is a platform for all the major payments. Amazon was a shopping platform but it has expanded its portfolio and its good for the company to grow and stay updated with the future.
Since I used it for insurance premium payment so I could see that it has quite a long list of companies tied up with Amazon Pay. There is no extra charge for the payment and its hassle-free service.
Many apps are offering similar services but amazon is not just a payment service but a bigger platform offering a bunch of services in one place. I am happy with this experience and hope that there will be more additions this year in 2021. Its one place for shopping, payments, travel bookings, donations, and even world for entertainment content on Amazon prime Video.
It would be interesting if they recognize the importance and potential of crypto and think of adding it in their platform. If it happens in the future then I will be so happy to use amazon for it and it will bring many people in the crypto space.
