I sat down and worked out my crypto earnings for January last night. The conclusion; it's the best month yet, even if it's small beans compared to a lot of the Hive whales here. Even better, Hive contributed the largest part of the earnings, which I like because I reckon it's the most stable and reliable of the platforms or ecosystems we have.

So to quickly run through the earnings; I've shown them in GBP using the closing prices as at 31st January.

Coinbase earn - £2.42 - hey, it's free money :D

BAT - £1.81 - earnings from using Brave browser with ads dialed up to the max, but they're not too intrusive (certainly nowhere near as bad as using conventional browsers !) and occasionally even interesting.

Eth2 - £0.10 - staked on Coinbase, I haven't got much but it's a steady trickle of earnings

Publish0X - £0.64 in ETH< SPOT and AMPL - mostly from reading and voting, I hardly ever post there, really should do a bit more !

ALGO - £0.05 - I'm almost certain to dump my ALGO in the near future. I stupidly bought it near peak, so I'll take a hit, but I've lost faith in the project. Their process for registering as a governor is increasingly glitchy, to the point where I gave up this time around. Their governance rewards have been slashed as they divert the funds towards centralised exchanges and weird NFT projects, and their claims of decentralisation (as well as the way they run their governance program) are becoming less and less credible.

HIVE - £27.42 - Nice ! I posted more last month, and it really paid dividends. Even better, it didn't feel like work, because I found that the more I posted, the more fun it was. This is my best month so far on Hive, and the previous best month was when HIVE was at about one and a half times the price it is now.

HBD - £27.35 - again, really pleased with this. A healthy chunk of author rewards, and I've been pushing spare fiat into HBD savings as well, so the interest is really starting to compound.

LEO - £2.54 - while it's not up with the main part of HIVE yet, it's still my best month on LEO. The fiat value of my staked LEO is still a lot smaller than my Hive Power, but growing nicely.

Other Key Tribe Tokens - £1.16 - this is just the few key ones I'm focusing on - POB, EDS, LOLZ, ALIVE etc. Again, it's compounding up nicely, but mostly just subject to the wild swings in value of some of the tokens. I really should get organised about trading them to optimise the returns !

In total, I earned £63.49. My previous best month was £61.64 in May last year. But back then, HIVE was at £0.44 compared to £0.3185 - if it goes back up to £0.44 again and all the others rise in proportion, that would make the earnings worth £87.71.

Additionally, I powered up a decent amount of liquid HIVE for HPUD this morning, and I've already got 149 LEO sitting in my wallet, so by LPUD I'm hoping to have more like 160-170 ready to power up.

I'm happy with January, and looking forward to applying the lessons learned to keep the momentum going. How was your month ?
