Blockchain and me

Por allá por el año 2018 escuché hablar de algo que se llamaba blockchain mi cuñado Antony me hablaba de bitcoin y nos configuraba los exploradores con criptotab para que ganáramos satoshis, él lo hacía y yo no entendía mucho pero como siempre, lo apoyaba en todo. Ya habíamos pasado por la experiencia un par de años atrás de hacer cualquier cosa posible por ganar dinero por internet y de esta manera viendo publicidad y cobrando por ello al menos sabíamos que de estar pegados a la computadora si podían salir monedas, que luego dando mil vueltas podían llegar a convertirse en dinero en nuestras cuentas. Pero esto de blockchain era otra cosa y fue una necesidad de buscar respuestas para mejorar algunas cosas en mi trabajo lo que me llevó a estudiar esta tecnología porque tenía la impresión, de tanto leer noticias de cointelegraph que podía encontrar la respuesta a la evolución tecnológica que estaba buscando para los procesos de mi institución. Así fue como comenzamos a ver religiosamente el programa Keiser Report en el canal RT y a comenzar a comprender lo que económicamente significaba a nivel global lo que estaba ocurriendo con Bitcoin.

That was how we began to religiously watch the Keiser Report program on the RT channel and to begin to understand what economically meant globally what was happening with Bitcoin.

Para esos años complicados económicamente, mi esposo y yo nos inventamos un emprendimiento relacionado a fabricar tequeños para vender congelados, los tequeños son un tipo de pasapalo o snack venezolano que consiste en un palito de queso envuelto en masa de harina de trigo y se fríe para disfrutar en reuniones con amigos y meriendas, a los niños les encantan para sus meriendas escolares. En fin lo que quiero contarles es que desde el año 2019 tuve que dedicar muchísimo tiempo a generar ingresos fabricando tequeños y los resultados eran buenos, nos encargaban bandejas congeladas y vendimos en ferias navideñas ya fritos y calientitos con salsita y todo y todo esto fue un éxito, pero en fin, el punto es, que mientras me convertí en una fábrica humana de tequeños mi mente no podía estar tranquila, sentía que perdía el tiempo, que mi vida no iba a ser esa y resolví lo hiperquinética que estaba de la siguiente forma: mientras amasaba la masa, cortaba el queso, estiraba la harina y formaba los tequeños iba al mismo tiempo viendo videos en youtube, cursos en línea, escuchando podcasts, tanto que en esas jornadas de fabricación culminé completo el curso “La Disrupción de Blockchain” de la Universidad Austral disponible a través de Coursera.com y les puedo decir que esto fue como tomarme la pastilla roja que le dio Morpheo a Neo y descubrir la Matrix, eso significó para mí, además de sentir que potenciaba las capacidades de mi cerebro haciendo todo a la vez, al final del día quedaba extenuada pero satisfecha de lo producido y lo aprendido.

Desde ese entonces no paré de estudiar, era un vicio, una necesidad inmensa de conocer, comprender, conectar todo. Hice un curso con Anibal Garrido @anibalcripto y me contagié de su entusiasmo y pasión por Bitcoin y me quedé como su alumna permanente en este proceso.

Since then I did not stop studying, it was a vice, an immense need to know, to understand, to connect everything. I took a course with Anibal Garrido @anibalcripto and I was infected by his enthusiasm and passion for Bitcoin and I became his permanent student in this process.

A mi entretenida vida con 4 hijos y una responsabilidad laboral enorme le sume una rigurosa rutina de revisión exahustiva de todas las noticias del mundo cripto a través de los canales de Telegram de Cointelegraph y Criptonoticias, a través del grupo de Cryptobuyer conocí a la comunidad Ubikalo a través de su grupo de Telegram y en ellos encontré un circulo súper enriquecedor para formarse con humildad y convicción en este tema.

To my entertaining life with 4 children and huge work responsibilities, I added a rigorous routine of a thorough review of all the news of the crypto world through the Telegram channels of Cointelegraph and Criptonoticias, through the Cryptobuyer group I met the Ubikalo community through his Telegram group and in them I found a super enriching circle to be formed with humility and conviction in this subject.

En el 2018 cuando recién comencé a escuchar sobre criptomonedas y blockchain inició en Venezuela el proyecto del Petro y solo por estar vinculado a las criptomonedas yo creí en el proyecto y compré petros cada vez que pude. Mis primeros satoshis los compré con Petros, sí señor, a través del Exchange Crptolago cuando en sus inicios lo permitia, tengo entendido que ya no es posible, no lo intenten hay mejores formas y resulta que escuchando a Max Keiser en keiser report, conocí sobre un proyecto en Sudafrica que se llama The Sun Exchange, y yo ambientalista, resulta que se unieron mis pasiones. The Sun Exchange es una empresa que instala paneles solares en instituciones y empresas de Sudafrica, y hace posibles los proyectos vendiendo celdas solares a inversionistas que al comprarlas firman un contrato de alquiler a esa institución o empresa que lo requiere, recibiendo un pago mensual por ese alquiler y recibiendo ese pago en Bitcoin si lo desea. Y así mis Petros pasaron a ser Bitcoin, que invertí en celdas solares que luego generan más Bitcoin en mi Wallet de The Sun Exchange y lo mejor de todo, estoy salvando el planeta permitiendo el desarrollo de proyectos de generación de energía solar en un país donde la energía disponible es generada con carbón, horror medioambiental, catástrofe climática, carbón en el año 2021, no lo puedo permitir.

Todo desde entonces ha sido estudio y aprendizaje y sé que de mantenerme en esto así debe seguir siendo, hablamos de tecnología por lo tanto es dinámica. En días recientes la Academia Platzi dispuso su último Platzi Day del año el cual duró 72 horas en las cuales terminé satisfactoriamente el 29% de la escuela Blockchain aprobando 6 de sus cursos y a punto de terminar otros 2.

Me gustaría que no pasen muchos años para poder ver disfrutar de ver que muchas cosas se hallan adaptado a la tecnología blockchain, primero mayor inclusión económica de las personas alrededor del mundo, siguiendo con la gestión nacional del Registro civil de las personas, las transacciones de notarías y registros, la logística electoral, el control de transporte, los contratos inteligentes para el desarrollo del internet de las cosas.

I wish it won't be many years before we can enjoy seeing that many things have been adapted to blockchain technology, first greater economic inclusion of people around the world, followed by the national management of the civil registry of persons, the transactions of notaries, and registries, electoral logistics, transportation control, smart contracts for the development of the internet of things.
