I got a phone call the other day from someone who represents the website https://bit-coin247.com/. Apparently, it was a cold call but he asked did I know anything about crypto. I confessed I knew a bit and so he went on to tell me about their wares. I was understandably sceptical and I told him many times I am quite enjoying learning the ropes as I play with trading so wasn't interested, he just wouldn't let up.

From my understanding, they are a new community of traders that you follow and they take %2 of any profits earned. You create an account and then lodge some money. As you follow their trades you get to see how they do it. They don't have control over your money but will advise you on the trades to make. It all sounds very fishy and something that has a hundred red flags all around it.

I put him off and said I have no access to my accounts as my computer was packed away due to house painting (all true-ish) but agreed that I would check out the website and do my own research. He could call me back at a later time. He did and we continued our conversation. I was surprised by how quick he was to answer any of my concerns and how good a seller he was. His tenacity was amazing and he went by the name Johny Winters, a fake name I am sure. We must have spent around 30-45 minutes talking on the phone, it was an English number but the website is registered in Norway. I took a trip to their address on google maps and found this building.

Maybe their office is in there, As Johnny said they are just starting up.

The website itself is not very professional and has many things that say to me this is all a scam. After our second call where I put him off again and said my funds were in cold storage wallets I found myself agreeing to another call. With this third call, again around 30 minutes, I was starting to think that yes this is definitely a scam but he has given me such entertainment and really worked hard to try and scam me that the least I could do was bite the hook and see where it took me.

I know that I am being crazy and probably just giving my money away but when I think about all the work he has put in to scam me out of just $50 it doesn't sound like the most economical scam in the world. I might just accept the risk and this $50 could be worth the experience, especially if it gives me something to write about on Leo Finance but also if it helps others to avoid this website.

If is does turn into something I will let you know, either way. I have been told by Johny that I should remove my principal investment as soon as I make it and just let the profit ride. We will see. There are not many details about withdrawal on the site except it says 0% deposit and withdrawal fee. I need a bit more clarity on that.

So what do you people think? Does this sound like a scam? or could this be the greatest get rich quick scheme since sliced bread (metaphors are not like the beams in Ghostbusters, you can cross them).

I will more than likely regret this but in the crypto space I have seen some crazy things happening in the past and sometimes it is fun to take a leap of faith into the unknown.

( This is definitely not financial advice, I am going into this possible scam with my eyes open, don't make the same mistake)
