Waiting and Saving

Since we were little, I believe we were always taught to save money. As we grew older, I realized that the concept of saving would never be as easy as when we were little.

Growing up in a group or society that has bad habits about finances will eliminate the concept of saving itself.

In my society in a relatively small village, you could say it is a mixture of the middle class and lower class. Knowledge of financial savings is very small. It's also not without reason. The income level is small so just thinking about the necessities of life today, being able to eat is more than enough. That's why the people around me don't want to worry about what will happen tomorrow.

GET OUT OF THE SAFE ZONE AND MEET NEW PEOPLE

Luckily, I once left my village to study and work. From there I met new people, and completely changed my mindset.

But then the problem that occurred when I returned to my village was that there was often friction even with my own family.

But one thing that I must always remember so that I don't fall into a toxic state, is that waiting and saving is a thousand times better than having to spend money just to look great in the eyes of others.

Often we are tempted to buy something that makes us want to look great, not because we buy something we need. Thinking deeply about who we are and what we need will really help our finances.

BE PATIENT

Once we know what we really need, and have a little patience for what we want, we can use our money to invest and even our money can grow. Instead of rushing to buy something just to prove to others that we are great at buying something.

To this day, it still happens in my society. Even I am still insulted because I have a bad house and don't have a motorbike like them. Well, I once owned a motorcycle and then sold it because I didn't need it. (I was afraid to travel to the city by motorbike and chose to rent transportation online). And regarding my house, I purposely don't want to spend my money on things I don't really need. Even though my house looks bad in other eyes, my mother and I are still comfortable. No problem with that.

Surviving in a toxic environment is not easy. But I survived because my mother didn't want to move. For the rest, I just need to turn up my ears and not listen to what other people have to say. After all, I still love the rural atmosphere that raised me. It is more than enough. :)

This writing is inspired by my daily life when I process many things. I wanted to take note of it all and maybe it's worth reading for you guys. Who knows. :)

Thank you for reading my blog and reblog if you want my blog this time worthy of reading by others.
