I am a dude that spends most of his time online. Whether it is working on job related stuff, learning how2code, crafting high level posts (yeah right), playing some low level blitz chess or just browsing Twitter and Reddit searching for the next author to onboard to Leo and/or Hive - depending on the tweet and the topic - but the point is, I am most of the time online.

When I am not too tired to fall asleep on my gaming chair - a birthday gift - and my gf is busy and we can't watch a movie - for the sake of spending time together, not to shut down my brain that is -, I take my time to find interesting stuff to read about, learn some non-serious topics - I get too intense and am a perfectionist when it comes to learning - and get into conspiracy theories and whatnot.

Today I had some time before starting to code the CSS part of a website I'm working on, and I found an interesting discussion about how fucked up the US economy is.

Tricking the system to get ahead

These are rough times, it's not like in the 1950's where a single income could support a two-kid family with a stay at home mother, right now you need two incomes and a second job if you live in a city - I don't understand living in cities btw but to each their own - and you might be lucky to just get by living paycheck to paycheck.

The same happens everywhere nowadays but let's focus on the US which is where this conversation was about. People were speaking about ways to trick the system, which is currently highly (and alarmingly) focused in social programs and aids at the moment.

How to get ahead in life while being a working class man

For a couple with two kids, there's a series of steps they can follow to use grey areas of the system in their favor:

  1. Do not get married.
  2. The man must always use his mother's address to get email, packages, bank statements etc.
  3. The man has to be the one buying the house with proof of income and setting it to his name.
  4. The man rents out the house to the woman with her two kids.
  5. Section 8 (Housing assistance, a federal government program) will aid the woman with $900 per month because she is a single mother of two kids and lives in a 2-3 room appartment.
  6. The woman signs up for the Affordable Healthcare act (aka Obamacare) so the man doesn't have to pay for his non-family's insurance.
  7. Being a single mother in the US gives you the right to attend college for free (don't ask what about single fathers? because well, let's not go that way).
  8. Provided the woman is not too proud, she can get up to $600 a month for signing up to SNAP (aka Food stamps).
  9. The woman gets free cellphone and utilities for being a single mother with two kids and attending college.
  10. The man claims one kid and the woman claims the other one on their tax forms. This way both get to claim head of household at $1800 credit. Both their tax brackets are capped at 12% (they are working class).

That's almost 50k a year in benefits.

Of course, this whole tricking the system theory has its flaws and cons. But I mean, large corporations do this all the time, they use the loopholes and grey areas of the law to get ahead in the pig race, why shouldn't average people do the same? Is it selfish? Probably. Would you do it if it was the only way to support your family? Arguably yes.

At least half of this plan is not even illegal and the other half falls into the morally wrong side of things, all you need is loyalty between the couple and being down to do morally questionable stuff.

And then you wonder why the state wants to have surveillance on you every single day through city cameras, microphones everywhere and listening to everything you say because you have Alexa set up in your house... but I have nothing to hide, what's the issue they are listening?, yeah, think again bozo.

Perhaps one of the grey areas that are closer to black or illegal is having your official address and receiving mail to the man's mom's house and could be considered fraud because if you are living together, then all income is "household income". The way to do it would be for the man to have a separate living unit with its own private entrance and put the home down as owned by an LLC (that the man owns) and they both pay rent for their piece. Separate residences, separate addresses indicated by Unit A and Unit B.

Conclusion

I've done some research (sources above) and even though this was just a conversation in a shady website with arguable retards, I still wonder if it's possible to pull this off for the burgers living in the US.

I might be completely wrong and this is not a feasible strategy for low income people, so please enlighten me in the comment section, after all I don't even live in the US. In the end, all of this might be bullshit, so please school me or lawyer me if you want, I'm open to being called a sucker for thinking this could work in real life.

I am copy/pasting this one comment because while being alarmingly conspiranoic, made me think for a while:

Cute. But obviously being parasitic is the way to go in end game capitalism. Anyone working hard and trying hard is a fucking moron in 2022 as your effort doesn't matter and won't change your circumstances (for the most part). Your job will be outsourced or replaced by robots/AI, there is very little vertical progression, money is being debased at a rate not seen for over a 100 years (in the west) and even then your wages won't keep up with the rate of inflation. Debt max, bleed the system until it implodes. The fall of the monetary system is closer than most people think. Also people maxing out credit-cards to buy BTC right now will be tomorrow's monarchy.

Anyway, conversations like the one above are a huge buy crypto signal, open conversation like this one in channels that the government frequently monitors is how I know a deep crash is coming. When the suggestions are openly admitting that corruption is the only way to make it then you know we are one step removed from collapse.
