Mi servicio de Internet | My Internet Service

It is no secret that in Venezuela most of its inhabitants have problems with a good part of the services such as electricity, water, and many others. For me, who just over 8 months ago decided to dedicate myself fully to the decentralized networks, not having Internet in my house was an ordeal that I lived through until October 20th of this year.

Until that day I was going back and forth to my dad's house where the Internet was so poor that it could take me more than one to perform a simple task like making a publication because the speed was almost zero and I had to do almost everything after midnight because that was the time when there were electricity and Internet at the same time but my mom and I talked, looked for a company, got the best one and between the two of us got the money they requested to ask for the installation of the service.

Something that seems so simple in another country, where it became a rather cumbersome process because the payment had to be dollars in cash or transfer via the Zelle application. Part of the money I invested in the acquisition of the service was paid with my earnings from cryptocurrencies, that's why it cost me a little more because I had to transform everything into bolivars (fiduciary currency) and then acquire the money in cash by exchanging it with a person (something common here in my country. The costs were as follows:

  • 89 USD the installation (747.89 $HIVE ~ 361.78 $LEO)
  • 25 USD the first monthly payment (210.08 $HIVE ~ 101.62 $LEO)

The company is called Airtek and is located in Maracaibo, Zulia. The contracted service is 50Mbps download and 20mbps upload but I have observed moments where it doubles.

This is one of many purchases I have made using $Hive for all or part of it. This Internet service helped me improve my content creation times and also helped me to be able to do other activities like participate in live healings by Discord, video calls with family members abroad, watch live on Twitter or Instagram, attend courses like Platzy or Udemy, and many other wonders.
