A Little Rearranging

”I will make everything around me beautiful- that will be my life.” ~ Elsie de Wolfe Ever since I was little I always dreamed about the day I would have my own home to personalize and surround with things I truly loved! I moved out of my parents home as a teenager and being that I was a teenage mom my financial resources were scarce. Working two jobs I made sure I had enough for my son and myself but also to treat myself to treasures I would find at the thrift stores and flea markets! A can of paint, some elbow grease and lots of love and they would make their way into my home! Many of the pieces of furniture and dinnerware you see on this post I obtained then and are still with me.
If you have been following my blog you know by now that I love all things vintage! Although most of my life revolves around my kitchen, garden and taking care of my pups, dove and hens I love decorating my home and moving things around! When I woke up this morning I knew it would be the perfect day for that! First I tackled my bedroom as you can see in the video above. I did my weekly change of bedding and deep cleaning. I enjoy moving my trinkets around after a good dusting. I’m definitely not a minimalist as you can see! I proceeded to tackle downstairs. Cleaning is always a breeze when you have the right equipment. I really recommend using a Chum-Chum Roller for picking up pet hair and all kinds of dust from your furniture! My Dyson vacuum replaces my sweeping quite often and then a good mopping with the super spin wringing O-Cedar mop and we are good to go! I love how light and airy everything feels after a good cleaning don’t you? I was so happy and had so much energy I could’ve shampooed my carpet as well but unfortunately my carpet shampooer broke.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t tired by the end of the day as I still had to do some gardening and taking care of my hens so I made a quick dinner and I took a shower and treated myself to a good movie.
