I don't exactly use Twitter with great enthusiasm, but I still have a few nifty browser extensions that make the Twitter experience so much better.

Twitter can also help you make money

To reward social action and sharing links from HIVE to Twitter there is a @poshbot.

I am currently going through the Hive Projects: Apps, sites, and tools built by Hive community, so my next post will be about that.

Caution: The safety of any of the browser extensions is always questionable - all of them are inside of your browser, and they can be a subject to a change so it definitely follows up on what you do in order to serve you in a functional way, but so far and I have been using these extensions, in particular, some of them for years I never received any warning about it nor I ever found unsatisfied claims online.

1. Weitweet chrome extension (chromeload.com)

I mentioned this extension a while ago.

Users can share any link across three social networks, one of them is Twitter. Extension once clicked offers a text modification and the option to choose from multiple images found on a page.
An extension is good if you have a need to style a Twitter post quickly but it lacks crucial features such as maximum character count, multiple image uploads, mentioned accounts and scheduled tweets.
It doesn't actually offer a great variety, and for all these things it is better to use official app or a website.

2. Twitter Audit | Audit your Twitter followers.

Just for the record, all my followers are individually checked so it is very unlikely that any of them is a fake account.
The only objection I have to this tool is that audit is possible once, or once in a while and after that, you have to pay, and only with the paid account we can analyze all our followers.
This was an extremely popular way to verify tweet sellers back in the day on the BitcoinTalk forum to exclude fraud.
So, if you are buying Twitter services and promotions I suggest verifying your service provider with this.
Twitter verification with Audit can be quite pricey for fakers, so you won't have many problems verifying with whom you are dealing.

3. Botometer® by OSoMe (iu.edu)

Find out if your friends and followers on Twitter are real or bots. This tool will check each user based on the program's parameters and give you more insightful analyses.
This free tool is much better than Audit, but it doesn't analyze all your followers or friends, just a few.
Anyways if you don't have a huge number of recent followers this tool is perfect.
Besides Botometer there are also many other tools hosted on this website that you can find useful.
For example, their dataset bot repository contains numerous libraries of bots, fake followers, self-identified bots, and real users.

This is my Botometer analytics, it has some options in a list a bit elevated because I lately shared only links for HIVE so all things I do are taken into consideration, even if an account is a fake follower.
For example, if you have a double account that you use for your service or business, a script will detect those predispositions. The same happens if you create a double account simply to follow people which you don't want to follow with your main account. It will list you as a fake follower.
I usually tolerate everything up to the orange and red bar, check the account and force unfollow it. It reduces my follower count, but it also elevates the quality of my own account.

4. Twitter account detector - Chrome Web Store (google.com)

Have you ever tried to find an account related to a website you are currently on? This extension gives quick links to all Twitter accounts associated with the website.
Sometimes finding a blog author, or simply a service account for Twitter is a pain, either because it is hidden at the end of a page so you have to endlessly scroll or because contact info is on the sub-page... somewhere.
So if I go for example to a TelePay | Simple crypto-payments, a HIVE service for payments, an extension will instantly give me a link and a follow button of their Twitter account - TelePay.cash 💎 (@TelePayCash) / Twitter, even if the link is nowhere to be seen on a website. The script reads what is in the website header or somewhere on the website. Sometimes, the extension will need more time, but usually, it works very fast.
For example, if I open BuzzFeed article an extension will give me a Twitter account of an author, an official account, and possibly anything else found on a page.

5. Superpowers for Twitter (clemensteichmann.com)

I was using this tool in the past, mostly for targeted likes - using it for the search results on Twitter for specific topics and communities under certain options set within the app. I don't bulk follow or retweet so it was not exactly what I was looking for but it did the job.
It is simple and easy to use, not much hassle with it.

6. Alt Or Not, a browser extension / add-on for Twitter and Tweetdeck | A Bit Of Access

Read ALT text on Twitter images directly under the main post.
By default, you have to click on the ALT tag in an image to see a text description in a pop-up, but with this extension, you can see the text without clicking.
For example, this is my promo hive post with an extension and you can see additional text paragraphs under the image section.

I have no idea why so few utilize this feature, as it gives you up to 4000 characters of additional text space for four images.
I like to make a longer tweet usually with images, or I need to explain what are the links in my tweets about so this feature is great for me.

7. Tweepi

This is a Twitter analytics tool and it is quite good even in a free version.
You will not be able to perform extensive bulk actions, which I wouldn't recommend in the first place, but you will get some awesome tools and a much better overview of your Twitter account.

Unlike other "Twitter growth services", which basically is an umbrella term for selling "real followers", the Tweepi offers a really good set of analytics, insight tools, and automation.

There are also many other Twitter tools and apps, which I will review soon, but for now, I believe this is enough.
