2021 was the many tokens took rise to fame and also the year where the world of NFTs exploded. They were insane mad sales of different NFTs at huge prices, where some were sold for as high as $91m for just a piece.2021 was really a year to remember.

So we are going to be looking at some NFTs that took over 2021 that were sold at a very high price in the digital and it just shows there are people who got mad rich in 2021 alone and looking forward 2022.

The first was an NFT named THE MERGE

Which was designed by an artist pak, the merge was bought by a group collectors about 28,983 and the merge was sold for $91.8m as at December 2nd 2021. Making it top the list of the top 10 biggest sales.

*The second was an NFT named EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS

The NFT was designed or created by an artist named Mike Winkelmann, who is also popularly known as Beeple. The NFT is a collage of 5000 of beeples early artworks and it was sold for $69.3m at Christie’s auction house making it the most expensive NFT to be ever bought by a single person, purchased by a man named Vignesh Sundaresan MetaKovan who is also an artist. It was sold on March 11th 2021 making it second on the list.

*Ranking third on the list is an NFT called the HUMAN ONE

November 9th was the date when another piece of Mike Winkelmann the popular artist sold for $28.9million also at Christie’s auction house too, where the NFT is a life-sized sculpture, the sculpture displayed an artwork that is said to evolved over time and also known as the kinetic video sculpture which is made up of 4 video screens

*The fourth on the list is the CRYPTOPUNK#7523

We all know that cryptopunks are among the most expensive NFTs to be sold in the NFT universe. The crypropunks are collections of 10000 digital characters generated algorithmically and it was developed by Jon Watkinson and Matt Hall from Larva Labs game studio. They were actually free before they started selling the cryptopunks with rare characteristics for huge amounts. Like the Cryptopunk#7523 was sold for $11.8m and it was bought by Shalom Meckenzie a Draftking’s shareholder. It was bought because of its rare alien cryptopunk on June 10th 2021.

*The fifth on the ranking list is the CRYPTOPUNK#3100 NFT

Because of its unique blue and white headband the cryptopunk#3100 was sold for $7.67m on OpenSea market place which is the leading NFT platform for buying and selling NFTs and it was sold on March 11th 2021.

The sixth NFT is also a cryptopunk, CRYPTOPUNK#7804

Which is also an alien cryptopunk, the cryptopunk7804 was purchased by the CEO of the design company Figma, Dylan Field for a sum of $7.55m and it’s one of the 9 alien cryptopunks with a cap, shades and pipe. It was sold on March 10th 2021.

*XCOPY'S RIGHT-CLICK AND SAVE AS GUY which is seventh on the list

The NFT right-click and save as guy was purchased by snoop dogg and the NFT alias was 'Cozomo de Medici' through Superrare. And it was sold for $7.09m on December 9th 2021.

*The eight on the list is the ART BLOCKS: RINGERS#109

The Art Blocks: Ringers #109 is from the art blocks collection of 99,000 NFTs and it sold for about $6.93 million on October 2nd 2021 making it the eight most expensive NFT.

**The Ninth is the CROSSROAD *

which was also created by Mike Winkelmann (Beeple) and the NFT is a short 10s dystopian movie that portrays people walking past a fallen big body that is marked with written insults all over it.

*Last on the list is OCEAN FRONT

Beeple really had a lot of artwork done and put up for sale as NFT and one of them is the ocean front which is displayed as a wooden structure made up of shipping containers and campers all in the middle of the sea and at the top of the container is a large tree and red toadstools. It sold for $6million during an auction on March 22nd 2021.
