Finally got to stake my Leo token for the first time as a newbie

Well as a newbie, I got to achieve a new knowledge on hive, more like on @leofinance. I am so happy because it has always been a bother to me not having the knowledge like being left out but today, that restraint was broken.

So have always made posts on leofinance and I see people upvote my post and the value of some upvotes are 0.000 on 100% and others are just 0.001 on 50% that's unlike other frontend on hive like proofofbrain, ecency, and PeakD, etc. Where no matter how low your reputation is or value your 100% upvote power carries at least $0.001.

Thinking about this, I always thought it was just maybe I don't have enough Leo token or my reputation is still an upcoming one, so I just ignore. But I decided to ask my brother from another mother @readthisplease what the cause of that was and when he explained it I just felt so disappointed at myself because it's something I know but couldn't just bring myself to know that's how it works too.

He told me that the reason or cause of why I have $0.000 on my upvote at 100% is because I haven't staked my Leo token to get Leo power (LP) just like Hive power (HP) and in doing that I will have values on my up vote. I was so perplexed because that's what I literally do every time staking my proofofbrain tokens to influence my voting power and others reward. Another questioned popped up by me asking him on how I can do it, he laughed and said he won't tell me, that I should be able to navigate my way around Leofinance by now and I should give it a try to gain the knowledge and experience myself.

Steps I took: In doing that, I had to visit my profile on Leofinance, visit the wallet section and clicked on the LEO (Hive blockchain Wallet) section where I saw;

LEO tokens (LEO) 109.922 LEO LEO Power (LP) 0.000 LP

Beside the LEO tokens they are three options of which I got to choose the third which says power up

After clicking on it, I was asked to choose the number of amount to stake but as newbie, I’m supposed to be cautious because it’s my first trial but instead I staked all LOL.

Then I was asked to approve the transaction

Input my hive details for confirmation

After that, the value of my Leo token moved down to my Leo Power (LP), I had to quickly call @readthisplease to confirm that the process and what I did was right LOL so to be sure I don’t lose anything.

Got greedy and wanted to try out WLEO but only to find out I got none. Phew!
