My journey so far has been smooth thanks to @readthisplease, he has been a mentor to so many newbies joining hive and he deserves some accolades. Because I know how it feels to be a mentor but now he’s not just a mentor to a single person but to so many others.

Sometimes what people really lack is mental support, someone that will be there to motivate it you, coach you, encourage and not judge you with your flaws but direct you on what to do with it. The beauty about helping others is not just make people see as a good person but it gives you purpose, satisfaction. I remember during my final year in the university there’s was this guy who believes he knows all above others and always sit alone in the exam all but at the end of the days his grades are always low than expected.

The night before my final people I just concluded reading though I had to cut it short because it was cold and breezy. Heading to my dormitory I heard my name, I was surprised to see it was him and to my surprise he asked for help on a calculation I was reluctant at first but then decided to. To my greatest surprise teaching him also made me realize I was also behind in studying also because I go to understand it better too and found some calculations I missed too. At the end of the joy of it was we both passed and he’s forever grateful till this day and that’s satisfaction.

To encourage us and newbies that will we introduce for them not to give up we decided to mentor ourselves first to make it easier for everyone and to do that we always have a zoom meeting once in a while but today we made it official to keep and track records of them. The reason is to share some challenges, interact, share knowledge and encourage each other. It has been very productive to build our strength and momentum and also know the different communities with their rules and guidelines some communities like Leofinance we can get ideals and share ideals of crypto and finance base knowledge, other communities like proofofbrain, OCD, peakD, ecency etc. because have seen some many people give up along the way on what to do or talk about not just in hive but in our daily life.

Another major reason for the meeting is to keep track of decisions and to refer newbies the to the meetings to help them build up their mental strength and support them in their journey.

In our week meeting today @readthisplease , @onwugbenuvictor , @estherscott and I got to share our progress and our challenges of the week and got to share suggestions to resolve them. This part of the week is always fun because you get to know you are not alone and there’s always someone to talk to and support you, not just in Hive communities but life itself.

In our team I decided to give ourselves some nicknames

The Brainy (@readthisplease): The one who advices us on what to do, coaching us to avoid mistakes and he’s very exceptional in the work. When it comes to risks assessment he’s more versatile on the path to take.

The Content master (@onwugbenuvictor): The one who always have something to write about, never a dull moment. He always has a business idea and always disturbs to never give up on anything. Sometimes when am even down on what to discuss, he’s there to help out and everything about him is content.

QueenSmart (@Estherscott): I call her queensmart because that’s who she is, the smartest in the room and honestly am still surprised how she has the time being a young nursing mother it’s amazing, that’s why I call her queensmart and her decisions are top notch.

Honestly am so happy and thankful for @readthisplease for coming up with the decision and his impact so far because it hasn’t been easy, it’s like giving a chance or job to someone who has lost hope of getting anything to hold on to.

The golden truth to newbies and experts on Hive communities is that to be in Hive you have to be hardworking and willing to do what it takes to good in it and is all about teamwork and helping each other.
