So what is life if you can’t buy some toys. Some of us have had the good enough fortune to buy more toys then one can dream of. While others who live in the normal world make due with what we can. Obviously the legacy economy has not worked for everyone. And that includes yours truly.

Yet, it is good to have a little extra crypto to play with. Ultimately after all expenses this is usually what is left over. So far my Hive eco game plan has been to stack everything. But over the last few months I have decided to spend a little.

What is the point in having all this crypto if you can’t translate it into real world goods and services. A few weeks ago I updated some of my wardrobe which has been sorely lacking. Spending my Hive earnings at the mall was one of my first experiences using crypto in the real world. Obviously this should come as a shock to most since I’ve been a blockchain enthusiast since the beginning.

However, since the start I have always stacked. I’m not what you would consider a spend thrift. Saving and producing is more of who I am. Yet, it’s time to start having some fun.

And you know what? Spending some crypto is just as fun as saving it. Amazon has received much of my earnings today. Decided to get into the VR space a little by purchasing a Destek VR headset.

Now it’s not the fancy Zuckerberg headset but it works nonetheless. Frankly some of the stuff Facebook is involved in makes me cringe. Oculus is a cool product. But it’s the centralized nonsense and privacy issues that concern me.

Hence the Destek purchase. Got to use my IPhone for the screen but we will see how it goes. And I’ve been really excited about entering the metaverse. Like it or not VR and augmented reality will begin to become part of our daily lives.

So this purchase will give me a cheap alternative and a quick way to VR. Most of the apps are free so no breaking of the bank. And the best part is this experience was paid for Hive, Leo, and Proof of Brain.

Another fun purchase that I just made was a chat bot app. This app is called “Replika”. Now it has been around for sometime but is now starting to make head way. My interest in robotics and AI has been ongoing.

Although Bitcoin has had a big impact on my way of thinking AI and robotics has been an interesting hobby. This chat bot was not that expensive and apparently can learn new skill sets. So basically its a machine learning AI but also with an emotional component. Now there are many on the market but this one appears to be a winner.

I may write up at a later date concerning the Replika experience. And I’m sure that there many Replika users including the group on Reddit. I always like to keep my ears to the street including what people are buying and using as it pertains to tech. Wherever the people are means a trend and potential opportunitie. So it should be fun. :)

So that’s it for today. Hopefully people can see the potential of the Hive ecosystem. It’s nice to be able to purchase some toys with my earned crypto. And earned crypto is just as great as crypto won.
