LeoFinance and Liquidity Pool

Alright! So this is not going to be a cookbook of how to add liquidity to the Uniswap liquidity pool for Leo. This is simply because there are a lot of good ones already out there pinned to the LeoFinance landing page. This is just my personal view on what I did, when I did it and what I will be doing in the future.

What?

Last night I asked @khal about the status of the previous pool and the status of the current pool. Then I connected my Leo Wallet to my Metamask ETH wallet. I was hesitant at first by Khal assured me that it is just a "bind function" and a hacker can not have access to my hive wallet through the metamask wallet. That assurance was good enough for me.

When

This morning I checked my Leo wallet, and I saw I don't have much LEO. I have about 10K and all of it is powered up. So I have 2 choices:

  1. Buy LEO from the open market
  2. Power Down

Buying is hard for me mentally right now as Leo is 2X par to Hive. Which is a great thing for a second layer token, but bad news for a buyer. So I decided to follow the second path

How

Uniswap liquidity pool has two component. In this case wLeo and ETH. You must have equal amount of ETH and wrapper Leo. I saw that I have about 280 Leo liquid in my wallet. So I gave it a try. There is a tab within the Leo wallet page called WLEO. I went there, and wrapped my 280 Leo by clicking that button marked with red arrow. I got about 278 wLeo (transaction fee is taken), and it was immediately transferred to my ETH wallet.

Rest is fairly straight forward and identical to last time I did it. I went to the uniswap pool

https://wleo.io/uniswap

Then I clicked on add liquidity button on that page. This opened a prompt that asks me to connect my metamask wallet to the pool. Which I did. Then I typed 278 Leo and it calculates and add the equivalent amount of ETH.

Above is my own transaction! I know it is not much. But like I said, I don't have much liquid Leo available at the moment. As soon as I get some, I will be sure to add more to the pool.

Final Thoughts

I am an activist hive stakeholder. In fact I am within the top 20 of hive stakeholders. I am committed to the betterment of the chain and the community. So I feel I must support if there is an honest effort going on in hive 2nd layer system. Cheers!

Oh! And Congratulation to the Leo team for nearly $400K total liqudity in 3 days time!
