Now this isn't a 1 to 1 analogy because Steem isn't a gallery, and we aren't selling anything, but let's just look at some well known anecdotal realities.

Steem is not SteemPeak, not Steemit, or any other frontend, now or ever. Steem will never be a Gallery, or a type of Gallery, but any frontend could be that.

New awesome content creator comes to Steem, is overwhelmingly warmly welcomed and showered with votes on their first post. Next post get's pennies. More pennies, more pennies, then suddenly a post that does REALLY well, more pennies.

Sweet, another Content Creator that despite not building ANY audience is seemingly entitled to blow up the spot, because steem.

This comes from the fact that Steem hasn't hit a critical mass of users yet for the curation system to function in a natural and organic way.

Pure Bullshit. Not fact, just opinion, and from one opinion to another, it's quite a stench you're promoting.

The stake is still in too few hands.

Utter bullshit. Last post by Arcange that removes the frozen SunDumb Stake from calculations paint a VASTLY different picture than "steem is 43 whale accounts".

The problem with all this(IMO) is that it creates a bad user experience for the best content creators. Let's just be real about something...all content is not created equal. It's my opinion that it makes more sense to continuously incentivise the creators with the highest value content than it does to "spread it around to everyone". If we use our collective stake to keep the best creators here, we'll get "the rest" because they will come here to CONSUME content.

So you want a Critical Mass of users to promote numerous who cares content creators but then again you are fine with 43 whales voting only for "zE Best" because that will bring the Critical Mass here, because.

Coming to Steem to consume content in the past has been relatively pointless because there's not much in the way of actual curation.(Great stuff up, not as great stuff down in a decentralized consensus). There's a lot of other variables at play when it comes to what gets votes and what doesn't. That's fine, that's Steem, but now to the matter at hand...

Yeah, who cares about consuming content if the content isn't rewarded. So consuming content that has no rewards is pointless because no rewards. Because Votes, don't mind the mindnumbing array and amount of content that is produced profusely either because the immutability of the published content or because of the appeal of potential rewards, because curation.

Yeah, no, the rest of the convoluted nonsense doesn't matter, why? Because Steem is not at all what you obviously think it is and I honestly think you do a GIANT fuck you Disservice to expressing in any measure "Steem".
