Hi buddies! I hope you're doing great, enjoying your free time and playing the wonderful Splinterlands! I'm just super excited, I finished last season in top ten in Bronze league, got some good rewards - one LLama included - and milking rewards in tournaments.
What better way to celebrate this good period rather then a Weekly Challenge?

This week card is one of my favorite ones, and I'm using it quite often: it's Mushroom Seer. Quite a flexible card indeed: powerful magic to damage your enemies, 3 life which means its not immediate to kill, and most of all Silence ability at level 1: it means you can lower your enemy's magic. If you have a clue that your enemy is going full magic, this kind of card becomes indispensable.

Going full magic be be risky but most of the times it's worth the risk: Magic cards are often weak, so if you think your enemy is going full magic you gotta be ready with a combination of silence and magic reflect.

Plus, Earth is one of my best Splinter, so I really found myself playing Mushroom Seer multiple times (and if you look at cards use rate, I'm not the only one)

MUSHROOM SEER

#edition: REWARD #rarity: RARE #element: EARTH #attack: MAGIC #abilities: Silence at level 1; Poison at level 5

The hidden Mushroom Forest at the heart of the Centauri Wood has produced many curiosities in the past, including medicines with strange and otherworldly effects. Recently, fully grown Mushroom People have emerged from this forest. These Mushroom People spread maddening spores everywhere they go.

MUSHROOM SEER AS AN INVESTMENT

Mushroom Seer can be currently bought at 0.25 $ at level 1 on the market, which is not much. I'm not sure why the value of this card is slowly decreasing, because I find it quite useful and if you look at the stats you'll see that it has a nice total volume over the last month - around 200$ - with more than 1100 cards sold.

This means it could be a good moment to buy a few Mushroom Seer, with the overall value of Splinterlands cards slowly increasing. Worst case scenario: you'll still find yourself with a useful cards, that makes you win tons of battles and earning some DEC anyway ;)

I'm glad I can finally show you guys one of my best basic setup for Earth Splinter: I use it very often, and it really helped me in the bronze league having serious winning streaks.

The pivotal point of this setup is the lethal combination of Scarred Llama Mage and Kron the Undying placed at the very bottom of your lineup. At the end of the battle, when Kron is the last monster alive on your team, it will become almost unbeatable, healing himself up to his max health of 18!

The only setup that can win against this team is a combination of magic resistance, healing and magic attack: that's why I'm usually combining the two previous card with something that can disturb enemy's magic: a Furious Chicken (it's free, why not?), a Failed Summoner, our man itself Mushroom Seer, and a Goblin Thief to attack the last position.

I never calculate the winning rate of this team but my guess is that it should be around 90% of battles (if your not facing high level enemies)

At the end my strategy turned out to be pretty good, and I was able to win this one against a good enemy.

Cheers!
