It's been quite some time since we talk about blockchain as a technology set to impact and reconstruct how ecosystems and economies are managed from a tech standpoint. The reality of the technology itself is that it has come to a point where it has attained diverse utility within its own growing ecosystem and even outside, thus, how it really gets applied long-term is broadening far more widely than any could imagine.

NFTs take immutability to the next level

Smart contracts sometimes are highly underrated, the things these little lines of codes or should I say the rules these little lines of codes can enforce are quite enormous, beginning with autonomous governance, autonomous finality of transactions and enhancement of asset security and uniqueness via blockchain equipped identifiers, with token standard contracts, we're able to enforce algorithms that serve us to a far margin and really take the tech of this ecosystem to incredible grounds.

Since the drama surrounding bitcoin, NFTs has been given more attention and it will likely keep resurfacing in that nature until it is widely assigned to diverse sectors to solve one data problem or the other, as it is in its nature of being a "data cell" that isn't restricting data liberty but rather, is keeping its secure from all manner of manipulation, this tech opens doors for quite a handful of possibilities including serving as a wall for building the next generation cloud services.

NFTs as a data cloud identifier

Firstly, I'd like to say I haven't given it clear thoughts on how it should work in reality and from a rough or raw perspective, it does seem like going forward, so much rules bending can be applied that allows us to widely push the limits of the tools we've built in the industry.

Of course, once again, this is because of what we saw with bitcoin, nobody would have thought an NFT would be on the Bitcoin blockchain at this time but look where we are? So imagine using a powerful encryption that allows users to use the blockchain as a data cloud with NFTs serving as a unique identifier giving individual addresses access to that data on the blockchain.

So we're looking at a technology that allows any holder of that NFT to redeem the data which even the blockchain doesn't entirely know what it is because it's encryption. That right there, would give the world the greatest level of privacy and security in data storage ever dreamed of.

Similar to how blockchain has managed to solve the flaws of the money supply by building consensus mechanisms that allow different issuing networks to "decide" via its rulesets on how to expand and how to reduce its own value ecosystem.

Added to this, cross-border payments have been solve, bank flaws also solved and brands stand to solve trademark infringements if only they look to NFTs early now and of course, it's also potentially on its way to solve the flaws of cloud services, the only limitations in the system is us, the builders and users, where we stop, is where it stops, if we don't, then there are no limitations to what can be achieved.
