Funny enough this information was spotted outside of hive, though the content may have mistakenly given ethereum credits of being the base blockchain, but who cares about that when one will be led to hive in any attempt to play. Splinterlands, the top collectible card game in the world, with a record of over 300k players, still currently topping on dappradar and we can see other games like Alien worlds and axie infinity well below.

I once called blockchain gaming the fun tool that monetizes recreation. Recreation is meant to be fun but what is more fun than still getting paid on a day off? That's what impact p2e is bringing to the industry, it's paving way to make all human activities valuable, because if we're being honest, on a base level, there's value in the least madness in the world called a "joke" so what more of activities we dedicate so much time to?

There are some key achievements to note on the way up. Splinterlands has been the most played card game for six months in a row, that's half a year, who says they can't keep that position? Now, you might want to consider the fact that splinterlands new monster card pack dubbed "Chaos Legion" saw a sell of over four million packs a few days after going live. Splinterlands has well above 400k active users with new sign ups daily, this, coupled with processing more than four million transactions a day, now that's pretty wild, that's why when you look through hive blocks, it's inevitable that you'll see numerous transactions rolling up from the game, it reached a milestone of one billion battles played as of January 25, reports.

In addition,

As part of plans to enable cross-chain interoperability, and make it possible for players to transfer their tokens across multiple blockchains through the TeraBlock Bridge, Splinterlands recently inked a partnership deal with TeraBlock.

Now, this is actually the first time I'm reading about this, and if this information be valid, then I can only imagine the impact it would be creating. I can't stress enough on why interoperability is a key factor in this current system of finance, and any community building on this network that understands it, is positioned to have a scalable structure.

When you look at the game economy, you realise it's difficult to ignore the overflowing benefits, it's growing from being just a game, to an investment, I mean looking at the growing interest rates, taking NFT holding to the next level, you understand that this isn't a game anymore, but a community focused on leveraging ground breaking tools to scale and sustain. This is big for splinterlands and big for hive at large, it's just amazing how far the team has gone to make recreation a not only health-wise profitable activity, but also a bank/wallet-wise profitable venture.
