Splinterlands - Is it too late to start playing now?

I keep getting this question a lot these days. Considering the fact that the game is now not easy and affordable for all the new players, it is still a good opportunity to enter. At least that is what I think. Many people who are on Hive but have ignored Splinterlands so far, have been going around and asking people if it is too late to enter splinterlands and start playing.

It is definitely a missed opportunity for many people but there will still be lots of opportunities in the future for players getting started even today. I was also actually late to the party. I have seen many players playing the game regularly and I was even annoyed by the posts people make about splinterlands. But once I started playing the game, I was able to grasp all the concepts and it was a good experience for me. I then started writing articles about splinterlands every day and started annoying my followers. @sayee used to be one such person who was ignoring my splinterlands post and it was even later when she joined the crew, but today he is far powerful than me in the game. I believe it is all about dedication and time.

Never too late

Considering the fact that we are too early in the crypto space and Play2Earn is just picking up speed, it is never too late to get started. Of course, things can be a little costly for people who would like to invest right now. The price of cards has gone up but at the same time, the rewards we get from the game are also still high making it a balance.

I would like to say that it is never too late to join the game. Even the little DEC we get from the game as a reward can be re-invested and slow and steady growth can happen. In my opinion, I think there are also people who are reaping the profit today who did not invest much into this game. I'm also one such example. I did pay and purchase some summoners but I don't think my total investment into this game would be more than 200 - 500$. That's for sure. Everything else I got from this game was through rewards and luck.

Today my account worth is over 35k $. So for people who are thinking about joining the game today, I would say that you might have a similar story to share after another 3 years probably. But I have to admit that I did spend a lot of time in this game trying to learn and play the game with other players. This is not financial advice but I still think it is not too late to get started.

Opportunities gone are gone

The next thing is about opportunities. People think that early birds had good opportunities and today they are getting more worms without any effort. It is quite true. But considering myself as an example, I was not an early bird. I started almost a year after the game was launched but look at me. I think my growth in this game was pretty decent.

I might have missed some of the opportunities that players who joined this game before me had got. Also, I never bought any pack in this game. I might have bought a few to test my luck but I did not buy any packs intentionally. I know lots of people even took loans and bought packs. Only later I realized that I missed the opportunity to purchase packs in this game.

Those opportunities that are gone are definitely gone. It is not going to come back. But I would still say that there will be more new opportunities in the future that will not make our investment of time and money go waste. That is what I think. After the rental markets were introduced, even lots of existing players buy spellbooks and rent some cards from the market and play. I still think we have an enormous opportunity in this game and we have to just be wise to grab that at the right moment.
