Travel the World of Postage Stamps - Development of fishing industry - Grouper (Epinephelus sp.) - Cuba 1975 - Michel Cuba 2032 - my hobby.

Greetings friends!

I am an avid fisherman. Usually, I aim to catch fish from the carp family, but if there are no bites for a long time, I pick up a spinning rod and go in search of perches.

I attach a hook with a silicone fish, or a twister, to the end of the fishing line, and, a little higher, I attach a leash and a second hook with silicone bait, so that it would seem that this is a flock of fish swimming.

Perch love to react to movement and often, I pull two perches at a time. River, lake, striped perch, usually not very large when specimens weighing a quarter of a kilogram and more come across, then, at once, a powerful resistance of the fish is felt when you fish it.

But, this is child's play compared to the hunt for the huge Grouper (Epinephelus sp.), which we see on a postage stamp from the Development of fishing industry series of postage stamps, issued on the island of Cuba in 1975.

Individuals of this fish can reach a weight of 400 kilograms, I don't know how to pull such a fish ashore if it has swallowed a hook, lol.

On the Internet, you can see many videos where fishermen are fighting with this fish, which is not afraid of anyone, loves to live near coral reefs and often lives under the pier in seaports.

The meat of this fish is highly valued. I have not tried it, but if it tastes like red sea bass, then it tastes great, sea bass, my favorite fish, which I often smoke with sawdust, and my wife bakes it in the oven.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.
