Travel the World of Postage Stamps - Dogs: (III) 1978 - Collie (Canis lupus familiaris) - Equatorial Guinea 1978 - Yvert and Tellier: Equatorial Guinea 127-A - my hobby.
*Greetings friends!
*Still, yesterday, we visited in 1984 on the island of Cuba, and today, I decided to take a leap into the past.
*Theoretically, if we move faster than the speed of light in the direction of sunrise, we can go back in time, as science fiction writers believe, we will check it out, lol.
*So let's sail off and head east!
*Flying over the Atlantic, I saw the coast of the western African continent and decided to make a stop for restocking.
*The theory works, we were already in 1978, and the coast belonged to Equatorial Guinea.
*As proof of this journey, I present my trophy, the Dogs: (III) 1978 series of stamps issued in 1978 in Equatorial Guinea.
*On postage stamps from this series, we will see different breeds of dogs.
*On the first postage stamp, 1 Equatorial Guinean ekuele, we see Collie (Canis lupus familiaris).
*This postage stamp has a very peaceful, pink border, almost like a pink flamingo.
*In this I see a reliable business move that was a win-win.
*In 1974, the last episodes of the Hollywood film "Lassie" were released, which tells about a very intelligent collie dog.
*Many children dreamed of having this dog in their room, which means that such a postage stamp will sell well.
*As I said, this postage stamp looks very friendly, but, in this, there is a special cynicism.
*You need to imagine what Equatorial Guinea was like in 1978.
*This is the era of the reign of the "eternal" President Francisco Macias Nguema Biogo Nyege Ndonga.
*Equatorial Guineat survived difficult times, when it was a colony of Portugal, Great Britain and Spain, but, having gained independence in 1968, the country plunged into an even worse situation, from the terrible terror of the new government.
*Everything collapsed, the education and medical system, infrastructure and production, and, in 1978, all the churches in the country were closed.
*A third of the country's population died, or was forced to leave the country, the tyranny was unbearable.
*Under the ban were European names, names of cities, streets and everything that reminded of Europe and the United States.
*So, this postage stamp can tell a lot about the history of this country.
*Let's take a look at this postage stamp.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone. For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
