Probably the first thing that comes to mind is the 1980 Olympic Games, the Olympic bear and balloons, this year will be remembered for those who remember life behind the iron curtain.

At that time, in the USSR and in the countries that were part of its jurisdiction, many souvenirs were produced for foreign guests.

Coins, postage stamps, calendars, T-shirts and caps with Olympic symbols, this is a commodity that quickly sold, and there was always a demand for it.

But, someone might not be a sports fan, but simply, was fond of collecting postage stamps of those countries that participated in the Olympic Games.

DDR, one such country.

I think that the large series of postage stamps relied on the great demand for souvenirs this 1980.

On another postage stamp from Series European Mushrooms, issued in the DDR in 1980, which received a face value of 15 Pf. - East German pfennig, we see Agaricus campestris.

But, be careful, there are poisonous types of champignons that are very similar to edible mushrooms.

The main condition is that in a young mushroom, with a longitudinal section, you should see not white, but pink plates under the mushroom cap.
