Greetings friends!

*Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

*I do not know how it is in your country, but, during the times of the Soviet Union and to this day, in countries on its former territory, the first telephone number in any directory is the number to call the fire brigade.

*Fighting fire always came first, the police came second, and those who care about our health came third.

*These phone numbers were 01 Fire, 02 Police and 03 Ambulance. health care.

*But, there were times when telephones did not exist and you could not make an emergency call, and the danger of fire, then, was no less than today.

*Like the watchman on duty, sitting at the top of the ship's mast, on the towers of the fire stations, firefighters were constantly circling, who gazed at the horizon in search of puffs of smoke, or the light of a flame in the night.

*Efficiency in solving fire-related problems, probably the most important point in this matter.

*The sooner firefighters get to the source of the fire, the less damage will be done and the likelihood of it that there will be no human casualties.

*In this, firefighters operate on their own transport, the evolution of which we will see on postage stamps from the History of Fire Engines (First Series) series, issued in the USSR in 1984.

*On the first postage stamp, with a face value of 3 kopecks of the USSR, we will see the Horse-drawn Crew Wagon.

*Also, this carriage was called a ruler, due to the fact that on the valley platform the firemen sat in two rows and looked like a ruler scale.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone. For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
