Greetings friends!

*Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

*I do not believe in Darwin's theory of human evolution, but I trust the evolution of technical inventions that, on his life path, invented by man to make his life easier.

*It is difficult to imagine the need for a fire hydrant in the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve lived, but since they left it, they had to seek shelter and make a fire to warm and cook.

*Since then, concepts such as fire and fire extinguishing have become very close to a person and his home.

*The History of Fire Engines (First Series) series of postage stamps issued in the USSR in 1984 shows us the evolutionary development of firefighting vehicles since the 19th century AD.

*On a postage stamp with a face value of 5 kopecks of the USSR, we see the Horse-drawn Steam-pump.

*The steam engine greatly helped the firefighters in supplying water to the fire site and shortened the fire extinguishing time, keeping losses and casualties to a minimum, to a relative minimum, when compared to the manual supply of water with buckets.

*But, we can say that this is already an improved fire engine, lol.

*In my city, near the fire brigade on duty, I found an earlier version of such a mechanism with a manual pump.

*A water tank in the form of an oak barrel, which may have previously been used to store wine or beer, was installed on a cart, and a hand pump was installed behind the barrel, which was served by two people. the principle of its operation is the same as a manual drive on a railroad car.

*It's amazing how such an exhibit has survived.

*I hope that my stamps will one day celebrate the same anniversary as this fire cart.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone. For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
