Greetings friends!

*When I saw the Longhorn Beetle (Pinthocoelium columbinum), which is depicted on a 6 Cuban peso postage stamp from the Insects of Cuba series of postage stamps issued on the island of Cuba in 1980, I immediately thought of the lumberjack beetle, or barbel, which can be seen in middle latitudes.

*I found a similar beetle, but of a different color, in the Moldavian forest of Codru.

*As we can see, my assumption that it is a bark beetle is supported by the fact that a picture of a tree can be seen on the postage stamp.

*But, strangely different, it seems that this beetle and its Latin name exist only on a postage stamp.

*All links on Google lead to a postage stamp.

*Perhaps Yandex will give more complete information about this insect, but in Ukraine, where I live, Yandex is blocked.

*I have to admit that this insect, for me, is an open book that I have to read later, then when the quarantine is lifted and I can visit the library, they are not allowed to go there without a green passport.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone. For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
