Greetings friends!

*I wanted to leave the borders of the island of Cuba, but one of the series of postage stamps reminded me of an old anecdote:

In the Soviet collective farm, a meeting is held and the speaker, from the rostrum, is accountable for the work done:

The year before last, we planted thirty hectares of beetroots, but they were all devoured by weevils ...

Last year, we planted one hundred hectares of beetroots, but they, again, were devoured by weevils ...

I propose, this year, to plant three hundred hectares of beetroots, so that these weevils would die of gluttony!

*Something like this looks like a series of stamps Insects of Cuba, issued on the island of Cuba in 1980.

*It features postage stamps depicting insect pests, but the series is called simply Insects of Cuba.

*Explaining that they are pests would make more sense for this interesting series of postage stamps, in which we see very believable images of insects.

*This series may well be a tool for identifying insects if you have met them in the wild, or at home, lol.

*As you already understood, on the first postage stamp, which received a denomination of 1 Cuban centavo, we see Weevil (Rhina oblita), or, as it is also called, the Rhinostomus barbirostris bottle weevil.

*There is controversy about where this pest, which loves to drill wood, comes from, Cuba, or Costa Rica. but this does not change the role.

*It should be noted that the circulation of this series of postage stamps is very small and amounts to 648 thousand copies, which is comparable to the population of not the largest city.

*I am amazed at the low cost of this postage stamp at auctions in fact, this postage stamp is rarer than diamonds lol.

**Let's take a look at this postage stamp.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone. For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
