Monthly Progress Report April

My monthly progress reports serve a couple of purposes:
  • The first one, and primary reason for doing them, is that it allows me to see where I have been, where I am going, and where I am falling short in my personal goals.

  • The second purpose they serve is to let people, new accounts and old, see an honest representation of an account built from scratch and not really knowing anything at all about cryptocurrency.

We have passed the one year mark now, it has been fun. One hard fork down, hard fork 25 coming in June if things test out okay.

Monthly Charts and Tables

The Monthly Progress Report Table:

Not as much Hive earned this month, a lot of that is because of the price increase of Hive from the teens last month to over fourty cents and at one point almost a dollar. Still I am pretty happy with what I was able to earn, so thank you to all those who voted on my few post or one of my many comments, they are all very much appreciated.

So where did the earnings come from:

A reminder the HBD-C is HBD converted at todays rate in the Hive market page so that I am showing peaches and peaches, not peaches and kiwi's. With the increase in price, my curation rewards have gone up, I hope to be able to make a few more post next month to increase that HP/Vest earnings back up a little bit, we will just have to wait and see if that happens

Still a nice steady climb, I honestly do not see the uptrend in growth to stop, much less to decline, I have yet to do a power down on Hive. Since the beginning of the year just under 650 Hive earned and powered up. I am looking forward to the day I have 10,000 HP.

Engagement Charts and Tables:

![Levels of Engagement](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/bashadow/23z7bBfVsnGPYiEW8n7gsQqcAEg8CCVbyjgoPjbDTLfh1ZGoFmstMSEjYpmGyTtzM733S.png) I had a pretty chatty April. I enjoy leaving comments on post that I like and just having fun in other areas and interacting with the makers and shakers of Hive. I do go through some periods of not much to say, but still I do like the interaction on post.

Not a very active posting month for me, but as mentioned above I do hope to post a few more times in May, I would like to try and get ten post out, we will just have to wait and see if that will be doable, it is Spring finally in Alaska so the hope is there for more activity.

Where the tracking all began, my current weekly activity as tracked by Asher (@abh12345):

As you can see there is a no data point on 01/17, that was the first week that I was not active enough to make it on the list. The following week I barely held on to make the list at 77th. I generally fall in the middle between 30th and 60th place. For the last few weeks between 380 and 390 people earn a score and the top 100 get highlighted in the weekly post.

Not a bad month, only a couple of days for 5 or less comments and a few days over 20, so I am pretty happy with where I was in keeping up with my engagement and comments.

Conclusion and side notes:

Hard Fork 25 is coming up hopefully for June if things work out well in the testing phase. I encourage everyone to try and see what has been being done.

All the code was being gone through, fixes and optimization for hived, hivemind, and hiveapi have been being worked on to keep things running smoothly and to help build that fast 3 second or less transaction time for the foundation layer.

The foundation is very important to the second layer, those that want to take advantage of Hive and it's infrastructure. This will lead to Hive Token becoming more than just a utility token for one project.

It has been a pretty good year for the first year of Hive, and I feel the next years are going to be just as good if not better. No longer is it just about the reward pool, we are into our second foundation support fork and that is very good news.
