I Just Couldn’t Resist ..

I was actually taking a couple of pictures for a blog post I wanted to do on these two coins. Then enters Molly. Molly strolled into my office in search of some bright sunlight and warmth. This room tends to get the warmest in the whole house so if one of us is in the office, then so is Molly. She loves her sunshine!

She really didn’t know the coins were sitting on the floor when she first walked in. She sat down in front of them and probably didn’t give it much thought until daddy moved one of the coins for a better angle. It’s at that point she took notice of them but still wasn’t sure what they were. How quickly we forget Molly!

I took this moment to introduce Molly to these 2001 Saint Helena coins. They are both 1 ounce of pure silver, aren’t you so excited Molly!? To my surprise she really did inspect these coins fairly well. I think she thought there were some kind of cookie involved since the last few times I’ve done this she ended up getting a treat. Don’t worry I will give her a cookie when I’m done taking these photographs.

Sniff sniff here. Sniff sniff there. All seems good so far.

Then things changed rather quickly. At some moment in time she realized that these coins could potentially hurt her. She then lets out the loudest scream ever heard by human ears. (Disclosure - she only yawned, but it sort of looks like a nice yelp, scream or howl).

She ran to my side where she thought she was safe. Silly dog, you're never safe from shenanigans around this fool. LOL. Yeah I called myself a fool. Be proud of it.. Own it right?

She then eyed up my lap for a quick escape.

In a blink of an eye she was on my lap with her head buried beneath my arm.

She eventually gained some willpower and strength, removed her head and stared at her coin enemies head on.

I was nice and I put the coins away because I had taken enough photos for my blog post, most of which are of Molly. She was happy about that and hopped back down onto the floor where she’s soaked up some bright sunlight, before I took her downstairs and gave her that cookie she earned.

Out came half of an Oreo cookie. The rich vanilla kind that she is lucky to get on occasion. Daddy wanted the other half, so win, win!

Yumm Yumm.. And she ate and ate and ate that cookie all up.

She ate that cookie up quick and all that was left was the tiniest of crumbs. In a millisecond that was gone too.

It didn’t take her long to find another sunny spot in the living room, in one of her favorite soft, fluffy beds. Have a nice nap Molly and Sweet dreams.

What can I say, this dog has quite the life! Silver, cookies, sunlight, soft fluffy beds… What more can a dog ask for?

Oh yeah! I almost forgot the photographs of the obverse and reverse of these beautiful silver coins.
